Sandy Beach Non Nuoc Resort

We had a very nice stay at Sandy Beach Da Nang. The location is great, right by the beach, with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The beach was clean and relaxing, and it was wonderful to wake up and enjoy the sea. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the resort’s swimming pool and the quiet surroundings. It’s a good choice for families or anyone looking for a relaxing beach stay away from the busy city center.

I won't disagree with anything any of the other reviewers wrote, but I will just add.A hotel experience is only as good as the hotel employees you have to have contact with. I'm in room 1005 as I write this , and I had an absolutely awful experience here today. It ruined my day. It ruined my stay and it ruined the whole point of coming to Da Nang for the day. Front desk clerks have to show compassion and flexibility and problem solving ability to make a guest's stay tolerable at a bare minimum and hopefully great. I came to Da Nang On purpose just to see and do a few special things. And there wasn't time, because this clerk jerked me around. The hotel can't fix this because I'll never be back. Time was the most precious commodity today. And this clerk just wasted my very, very limited , very, very precious time.

Our final Hotel of 4 during our 3 week trip. Picked for the location A BUNGALOW ON THE BEACH and it delivered 150%. The grounds were absolutely stunning. But and it's a big but or a series of them. We had a beach bungalow which I expected would be the premier room. The telephone didn't work nor did the safe both were reported the safe was replaced. Good service. all fixtures in the bathroom, shower head, toilet seat and towel rails are loose. Cabinet doors in the bathroom swollen chipped flaking and hanging off rusty hinges. Wardrobe door swollen and flaking unable to slide open properly. All other bedroom furniture scuffed scratched or chipped. Rubbish and dust under the bed, the bed frame had been wiped underneath but only for arms length a distinct line between clean and dirty. The unit housing the fridge had a bottom shelf where the swollen wood had dropped at the back so the fridge was on a slope. The see through screen curtains were dirty and stained at the top and the bottom. We stayed 5 nights and we had NO CHANGE OF BEDDING. So that is our room.
The main building housing reception, lounge, bar and the breakfast room looked amazing on arrival at about 8pm. Reception at check in was friendly and functional. But no welcome drink like the other guests we saw checking in. We did get a buggy ride to our bungalow. But in the daylight despite the impressive architecture the overall feel was dated neglected and unloved, dust and dirt on the inside of the impressive lamp shades stains on the otherwise acceptable soft furnishings/furniture. There were staff around but I had to approach them before they returned to the bar area so we could get a drink. I was quite hopeful for breakfast, especially in the open airy space. A reasonable selection to choose from, if a strange layout. Cups were undoubtedly clean, but after possibly years of mechanical washing, every cup and sauce had rounded chips in the edges, I totally accept food being chilled by ice in an open air room, but only 2 plates with ham and cheese had covers on. Yoghurt was left open in jugs. Not many staff around and very slow to clear plates and tables between guests. Some tables were not cleaned. Customer service on the last night was non-existent, I asked what time my arranged transfer to the airport was, only to be told I had not booked one, even though in their email to me it was listed as a special request. Do not rely on this hotel's organisational and administrative abilities. It is such a shame, this Hotel could be spectacular but it needs investment and it needs refurbishment. After 2 weeks travelling in Singapore, Cambodia, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi we wanted a beach break. We got that 100% but I can not recommend this Hotel as it is now and shall not return. If this had been the only Hotel we had visited we would never set for in Vietnam again. There are so many more better places to stay. We couldn't leave a tip for housekeeping, and on check out, they tried to charge us for 2 pots of instant noodles. Of all the things to say manky noodles. This is not what the real Vietnam is like. All the photos on the website are originals from when it opened. Don't be fooled. It would be poor quality on any Mediterranean Coast. You have been warned.
