A short stroll from Patong Beach on a secluded and lush beachfront headland, the luxurious Amari Phuket offers direct beach access and spectacular views of the Andaman Sea. The sprawling hillside resort offers three outdoor pools, Breeze Spa, two restaurants, two bars and a series of private lookouts ideal for intimate gatherings and meals with that special someone.
Located near all the convenience and buzz of Patong, the tranquil resort is a short walk from Jungceylon Mall. Complimentary shuttle service to nearby Kata Beach is offered. Phuket International Airport is a 55-minute drive away.
Accommodations are offered in two distinct settings. The Superior and Deluxe Wings are closer to the coast with rooms and suites that are a short hop from the lobby, restaurants and facilities. The newer Ocean Wing offers an elevated experience with larger residence-style one and two bedroom suites perched on the hillside and exclusive access to a hilltop Clubhouse with its dedicated full-service lounge, pool, terrace and fitness centre.
Breeze Spa features a wide range of treatments which can be enjoyed from breezy, sea-facing pavilions. The resort also offers a fitness centre, scuba-diving centre, kids' club and a Voyager Lounge, a perfect relaxation spot for those arriving early or waiting for a late flight.
La Gritta focuses on Italian specialties such as gourmet pizzas, fresh pasta, delectable desserts along with an extensive wine list. Seaside international dining is available at Rim Talay. Drinks and quick bites are served at both the Rim Talay Pool Bar, Samutr Bars and The Jetty.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This was our second stay at Amari Phuket, and to say our expectations were high would be an understatement. Our first trip was so amazing we still spoke about it 10 years on, and I am happy to say that even after a minor room hiccup upon arrival that this visit was just as, if not more, amazing than before.
Simply put, Amari Phuket is beachside luxury without pretention. Arriving at the resort is an elevated experience where the transition from weary traveler to pampered guest is effortless, marked by a welcoming salute from security, seamless luggage service, and a lobby reception complete with refreshing drinks and chilled towels. If after all this, you still haven't shifted into holiday mode... simply glance across the balcony to Samutr Bar and the breathtaking view of Patong Beach. This impressive view is genuinely a "let the holiday begin" moment.
I/we loved everything about Amari Phuket but here are our top three reasons to book a stay...
The location. Close enough to Patong Beach to walk or a quick tuktuk ride over (฿200) but far enough from the crowds that it feels like you are in your own private quiet beachside bubble. I really believe this location is unbeatable.
The view. Wherever you are in the property the view is breathtaking. Day or night you will be amazed by the view. I highly recommend taking a morning/evening walk up to The Jetty, booking an outdoor spa treatment at Breathe Spa, watching the sunset from Samutr Bar daybeds (beware MANY people will be at the balcony taking selfies) or reserving a beachfront table at Rim Talay (specifically Fire & Feast night).
The staff. Every member of staff at the Amari Phuket will go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. I don't know how they do it but within days they have remembered your room number, your breakfast order and your drink preference. These small gestures (plus more) made it so easy to relax and unwind. Special mention to Aew and Nang (Breathe Spa), Den (Rim Talay) and Betty (Reception) - you all helped make our stay so special and we hope to see you again the next time we visit (fingers crossed it'll be next year).
Tip: stay in a Coral or Club room. We've stayed in both and they are worth the extra expense!
a truly calm and enjoyable stay a stay that exceeded expectations good place for stay on the last day of your holiday
We were three couples, and we all had an amazing time at this property. First, I would really like to thank Kenny for upgrading our (all three rooms) five-night stay to a suite. I think these suites have the most beautiful views one can ask for or imagine. The suites have a small kitchenette, a dining table, and a living area. Room size is good, with a nice wardrobe and a big bathroom. Air conditioning is good, and kudos to the staff who are always ready to serve tirelessly with a smile on their face. The suites are located on a hill with too much up-and-down, but the hotel has provided a very nice pick-up and drop-off service with their van/golf carts. The landscaping is so beautiful that one cannot even imagine. There are two restaurants where guests can enjoy their breakfast and other meals. The breakfast buffet is very good with a lot of varieties. There is also a separate section for Indian breakfast with good options. There is another nice restaurant, 'La Garita' where one can enjoy limited but very nice cocktails by the sea. The hotel also provides Spa services (though none of us tried them at the hotel), and I think it should be good. There is a free shuttle service thrice a day from the hotel to the central market. The hotel is situated at a distance of five minutes (by tuk-tuk) from Bangla Street. There are plenty of eating options around this property, and one must explore them, not because the hotel food is not good, but to experience the local taste and for a change. The airport is at a distance of almost one hour from the hotel, but the drive is so good that it doesn't feel that long. In the end, I would like to say that I have visited Phuket many times, but this property is clearly a winner so far. Whether one is coming with friends, family, or solo, this hotel has everything to make you feel happy and comfortable.
Wonderful honeymoon. Room was beautiful and food was incredible.
We had a good overall stay and enjoyed the property. The staff was courteous and the experience was comfortable.
However, one area that really needs attention is the cart/tuk-tuk service at night (around 11 PM to 1 AM). We had to wait 20–30 minutes, which was quite inconvenient. Improving the availability or response time would greatly enhance the guest experience.
Also, adding a few more fans in the lobby would make it more comfortable, especially during warmer hours. Other than these points, everything else was good.
