I had the pleasure to short stay in this hotel, the sunset at night is probably one of the most beautiful i've ever seen, the service staff was great, special kudo to khun pon at the bar who could make the best cocktail!!
Oh did an amazing job hearing my concerns and desires for my spa experience then created a spa package that exceeded my expectations! C, my massage therapist worked wonders on my neck, legs and lower back. It was an amazing experience. I strongly recommend.
We had such a great stay at Meliá Phuket Mai Khao!
After travelling for almost 20 hours, we really just needed somewhere to settle in and relax for a few days, and this turned out to be the perfect place for that.
We stayed in one of the rooms with a private pool, which was absolutely perfect for us. The whole resort has such a calm and relaxing atmosphere, with beautiful green surroundings, lovely pools and a real feeling of being in a little oasis. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and it was so peaceful everywhere.
We are travelling with our 10-month-old daughter, which obviously comes with its own little challenges. Sometimes you can feel like you are taking up too much space or making too much noise when travelling with a baby, especially at a luxury resort. But we never felt that way here. Quite the opposite, actually. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel so welcome and genuinely seemed happy to have us there.
Our room was perfect for travelling with a baby. Having our own pool and bathtub was really nice for those early mornings, and being able to withdraw to our own private space for naps during the day made everything so much easier. We could really enjoy the resort without having to plan everything around our daughter's schedule.
The food was really nice, especially all the fresh fruit, fresh coconuts and refreshing drinks. Breakfast quickly became one of our favourite parts of the day, not just because of the food, but because of the people.
A very special thank you to Aom, Kob and Nam, who made every morning such a lovely experience. They were all so kind and attentive, and our daughter absolutely loved them. They gave her so much attention and made sure she felt comfortable, happy and safe. She is currently learning to eat by herself, which can get quite messy, but everyone was so relaxed and sweet about it. They even helped us find suitable food for her and recommended some Thai specialities, including rice soup, which she absolutely loved. Aom even brought her a little elephant teddy bear as a gift, which was such a lovely and thoughtful gesture.
We also really enjoyed Kidsdom. It was a great place to spend some time playing with toys, and the staff and activities were wonderful. Again, everyone was so welcoming and made our daughter feel comfortable enough to explore, play and have fun.
We also had a really great spa experience, and between the beautiful pools, peaceful surroundings, lovely food and our own private space, it was exactly the relaxing start to our holiday we had hoped for.
The only small thing we would mention is that we experienced a few issues with the online ordering system for room service and other services. It's something that could probably use a little improvement, as a few things didn't quite work as expected. That said, the staff were always very kind about it and did their best to make up for the mistakes, which we really appreciated.
What really made this place special for us was the combination of the beautiful resort and the genuinely warm and caring staff. It feels luxurious without feeling too formal, and even with a small baby, we could completely relax and enjoy ourselves.
We would absolutely recommend Meliá Phuket Mai Khao, especially to families looking for somewhere peaceful, beautiful and comfortable, with great service and a really welcoming atmosphere.
Thank you so much to everyone for such a wonderful stay, and especially to Aom, Kob and Nam for making sure every day started with a smile. You really made a difference to our holiday!
We have just left Meliá Maikhao and found it absolutely incredible. We were booked to stay in a different resort but due to a last minute complication from that hotel, our booking was transferred to Melia, and what a result! Everything at Melia was excellent. It all felt very modern and clean, whilst still retaining a unique Thai feel. We loved relaxing by the beachfront pool, and the views from the beach were stunning. The staff are incredibly friendly and more than happy to help with anything you need. The food from the Sasa restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, as well as the pizza from the Gaia restaurant for lunch was all delicious. Right next door to the hotel we tried the Sea, Sand, Sun restaurant and Seaside restaurant which were also lovely and on the beach. Our one-bed villa with a private pool was lovely and very comfortable. As we stayed here for our honeymoon, the staff went above and beyond to welcome us, and we couldn’t have been happier. We would highly recommend this resort and we will definitely return if we come back to Maikhao in the future.
Me and my two friends checked out today after a 7 night stay. First impressions on check in was great, hotel is lovely and modern and the staff are all lovely and friendly. We upgraded from a one bedroom suite to a pool room. The room and outdoor area to our room was lovely. Due to the gap between the door separating the outdoor shower to the bathroom, mosquitos can get in, but the hotel provides you with a plug in and bug spray if needed. The only con with the room is the lighting, if you wanted to turn a few lights off to make it a better setting at night while chilling you cant. You either have to leave all lights on or have non on at all. The food and drinks at hotel was really nice, although the cafe at reception doesn’t really have much choice. The gym is tiny and only open until 10pm. The location isnt really good as theres nothing around, so I wouldnt recommend spending anymore than 7 nights here. But for a chilled holiday I would recommend!
