Had the best time!
We had such a lovely time staying at the kata palm. The pool was lovely, staff were great and super friendly and location was very good. I saw previous reviews of the breakfast but I thought there was a good choice and thoroughly enjoyed it. Because I’m as tight as a ducks backside we stayed in the cheaper rooms which were a bit of a walk, next time we might pay for the better rooms but I can’t complain. I definitely would go back, we genuinely had the best time.
Great experience
Arrived at the hotel on the 11th September which was my birthday that day but the welcome was very professional and polite and check in was quick. During my two weeks there I have found the hotel to be perfect as had a view of the pool and gardens but there is a swim up rooms but unsure on price. But everyone made you feel welcome on arrival and leaving tomorrow so it was a beautiful experience there and would come again as the area as lots to offer.

Mixed feelings...
I really wanted to like this resort better. From the pictures and our first impression, it seemed very nice, some traditional Thai style mixed with modern, several pools and restaurant options, and modern amenities like a nice gym.
But after staying for some days, I felt a bit let down by this resort. Gym equipment could have been better maintained, restaurants were only open one at a time, wi-fi was spotty...
However, our biggest regret was the food. Both for breakfast and lunch there was a good selection of food, but that does not help when everything was completely bland and uninteresting. Drinks selection for breakfast was also made purely from cheap concentrate and did not taste very good.
Service was always excellent, though, which made up for some of the disappointment! Staff was incredibly helpful and attentive on every encounter, and housekeeping did a great job keeping the place neat, tidy and clean! :-)
All in all, Kata Palm was not a bad place to stay. Centrally located, quiet and with great staff. I still feel like things easily could have been a lot more satisfying for us, and Kata Palm can easily take steps to improve.

Nice hotel in a great location
We spent 4 nights at Kata palm, the hotel is in a great location with everything to proximity. The stay overall was good, friendly and helpful staff ,rooms clean and spacious . We had a few stains on the sheets and a little wear and tear but generally clean. 3 swimming pools including a rooftop pool. We had only breakfast at the hotel , food was nice not much choice and little if you like something sweet in the morning.

Stayed here for 2 week and cannot fault the hospitality. On arrival early morning well in advance e if 3pm check in, we only had to wait 30 minutes for our rooms, which was really appreciated as we were very tired from travelling. Our roof were very comfortable and spacious. Pool towels were available in our rooms. The pools are fantastic with plenty of sun lounges. The hotel has a lovely traditional design. The was a good choice of breakfast from Thai cuisine to western choices. It would benefit from fresh juices given the plentiful available of great variety of fruits. The staff are very professional, friendly and extremely helpful.
