The worst day of all my travels happened to be during my honeymoon
On the last day of our stay, there was a wedding event taking place directly in front of our room. From around 7 p.m., when we returned from dinner, until well past 11 p.m., the guests played loud music, sang, cheered, shouted, and even set off fireworks. We had to endure all of this noise from just a few metres away, with only a glass door separating our room from the party.
As this was the final night of our honeymoon, the experience completely ruined what should have been a special and peaceful evening for us. The noise continued well past 11 p.m., with people still shouting and celebrating loudly.
We contacted the reception several times to complain, but the response we received was simply that we had been informed that there would be a wedding event. However, what we experienced was not merely a wedding ceremony—it was an extremely loud party taking place directly outside our room.
It was only when it was approaching 11:30 p.m., after we made it clear that the situation had become completely unbearable, that any meaningful action was finally taken.
It was a truly awful experience and a terrible way to spend the last night of our honeymoon. I honestly do not even want to think about that night again.
Honeymoon trip well worth it!
Our honeymoon at Silavadee Spa & Resort was absolutely wonderful! We booked the honeymoon package, which included complimentary breakfast every morning and it was absolutely delicious. It also included a couples massage which was phenomenal—such a relaxing and memorable part of our stay.
The staff throughout the resort were phenomenal—so warm, attentive, and welcoming, and truly made us feel special throughout our stay. We especially loved all of the little details that made the resort feel so luxurious, from the nightly turndown service and thoughtful snacks (the banana chips are AMAZING!) to the cold towels and iced tea. Those small touches really elevated the entire experience and made us feel so well cared for.
The only areas where we felt a little disappointed were the service at the specialty restaurant, Star Bar, and some of the Western food options. That said, these were minor compared to how wonderful the rest of our stay was.
Overall, we absolutely loved our time at Silavadee and would happily come back again in a heartbeat—if we weren’t located across the globe! It was the perfect place to celebrate our honeymoon, and we’re so grateful for the beautiful memories we made there. Highly recommend!
Wedding and holiday
On arriving we were greeted with a cold drink. We stayed in the main building block next to the reception. The room was large and well cared for. Bath room large with everything you required. We were on ground floor which had an out door spar and a paddling pool The rest of the resort is spread out over the hills and cliff which are the villars. You need to use there golf buggies to get to all the areas in the resort.Breakfast was very good with a great lot to choose from. The pool areas of both pools hang over the cliff, not many sun beds around pool area.The beach is down a long walk way and many steps to the beach, The beach it self has no sand in the water it is all rocks you need shoes. But the water crystal clear and very good for snorkling with many fish to see, The sand on the beach is good with about 8 deck chairs and a small bar. The resort is well maintained and clean through out and staff are excellent THE BIG DOWN SIDE IS IT IS SO FAR OF MAIN ROAD OUT ON A POINT. YOU HAVE TO CALL A TAXI OR OTHER TRANSPORT TO GET TO CAFES OR SHOPS. As I said staff are great resort clean and well looked after, We would like to thank everyone for our plesent stay here Regards Mr and Mrs Palmer
