Best at chaweng!
We rarely write reviews, but our stay at Banana Fan Sea Resort truly deserves one.
A huge thank you to the entire team for making our stay so wonderful and welcoming. The location directly on Chaweng Beach is fantastic, and the whole resort is beautifully maintained.
The hotel restaurant is excellent, and there are also plenty of other options along the beach if you feel like trying something different. We also really enjoyed the massages right on the beach next to the hotel. For anything you might need, there is a Tops Market directly across the street, and the shopping mall is only about a five-minute walk away.
A very special thank you to Bee, Lek, Mooky and Lift. They were incredibly kind and caring with our little son and made all of us feel so welcome throughout our stay.
We can wholeheartedly recommend Banana Fan Sea Resort, especially for families with young children.
Thank you again for such a warm and memorable stay. We had a wonderful time and would definitely love to come back!

Banana Fan Sea Resort in Koh Samui is simply wonderful. Excellent hospitality, lovely people, and prompt, courteous service. You can truly feel that everything the staff does comes straight from the heart, with so much joy and love. Huge thanks to Mook, Nae Nae, and Pam for making our stay unforgettable. Some places stay with you long after you've left
A few days after returning home, I was unpacking my suitcase when I picked up a T-shirt I had worn to bed at Banana Fan Sea. And suddenly, there it was: that familiar scent of the place. For a brief moment, I was right back on Koh Samui.
Some places stay with you long after you've left. And for me, Banana Fan Sea is one of those rare places.
Of course, it has everything you could wish for in a beautiful tropical resort: a wonderful beach, a lush and lovingly maintained garden, comfortable rooms, great food at Baitong Restaurant, and a peaceful atmosphere right in the heart of Chaweng.
But what truly makes this place special to me is something else entirely: the people.
I could mention so many names here, but there are simply too many wonderful people working in every corner of this place, and I wouldn't want to leave anyone out.
It's their genuine kindness, their sincere interest in you as a person, and their attention to all those little details that make such a difference. Some I've come to know quite well over the years, others I barely know at all. But what they all share is a warmth that feels entirely natural. And that wonderful feeling of being remembered, welcomed back, and genuinely cared for is what makes this place so special to me.
Over the years, I've returned to Banana Fan Sea at different stages of my life. I wasn't always entirely sure what I was looking for when I arrived. But somehow, I always found it there.
I imagine that for many people, Banana Fan Sea is simply a beautiful hotel on a wonderful beach. And that's perfectly fine. But I also believe there are some of us for whom it has become something a little more meaningful. A place that touches your heart, mostly because of the people who make it what it is.
I'm grateful to be one of those people.
