Bandara Resort and Spa

We came to Bandara for our Honeymoon and everything was perfect. The hotel is calm and clean, there are lots of staff on hand to help with any of your needs. The rooms are beautiful and kept very clean every day. It is right on the beach and very close to the fisherman’s night market which makes it a perfect location. Particular thanks to Kitti, Tawan and Fea who made our stay extra special, thank you! :)

We stayed at Bandara in September/October 2026 as a family of four (two adults and our children aged 9 and 3), and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat!

The resort is beautiful, with stunning, well-maintained grounds that are always clean and tidy. Its location is fantastic too, just a 5-minute walk from Fisherman’s Village, which makes it so convenient for exploring the local area.

One of the things we loved most was the choice of four swimming pools, each catering to different needs. There’s something for everyone, whether you want to have fun with the kids or simply relax in peace. The adults-only pool is a particularly great idea and a lovely touch.

We stayed in a family room with bunk beds, which the kids absolutely loved! The room was spacious, comfortable and very well laid out, with the added bonus of two showers, which was perfect for a family of four. A huge thank you to the housekeeping team, who did a fantastic job keeping our room spotless throughout our stay. The little towel animals they made were such a lovely touch, and our 3-year-old daughter absolutely adored them. Those little details really do make a difference!

We only had breakfast included, but we were genuinely impressed with the selection. There was such a huge variety of food, with something to suit everyone, even the fussiest eaters. The restaurant’s location right next to the beach is another highlight. Being able to enjoy breakfast with such a beautiful view is a wonderful way to start the day.

What really made our stay extra special, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming and always smiling. You could really feel that they wanted guests to have the best possible experience. A special mention goes to Kitty, who was absolutely amazing when we needed some extra support. The pool team were fantastic too, especially Diamond, who was an absolute superstar with the kids! He was brilliant with them and really helped make their time at the pool even more memorable. Poom was also so lovely and friendly. Thank you all for making us feel so welcome!

The beach is lovely, and there are some great water activities to enjoy, including kayaks and paddleboards. The fact that your first use of the water sports is free is a fantastic bonus.

Overall, Bandara exceeded our expectations in so many ways. From the beautiful grounds and excellent facilities to the comfortable family rooms, nice breakfast and, most importantly, the genuinely wonderful staff.

As a family travelling with two children, we felt that the resort catered for us brilliantly. There was plenty to keep the kids happy while still giving the adults opportunities to relax and unwind.

I honestly cannot recommend Bandara highly enough. We made some wonderful family memories here, and we were genuinely sad to leave. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so special!

When we come back to Koh Samui, there is absolutely no doubt that we will be staying at Bandara again. We can’t wait to return! ❤️
