The Chedi Club at Tanah Gajah

This was our second visit to Tanah Gajah and it was as good as our first experience. As the title says, it is an oasis of serenity in the sea of sensory overload of Ubud. The gardens and landscaping are simply breathtaking with the combination of water features, artworks and vistas overlooking the working rice paddies. Even though it's a relatively small resort there are a number of room types to suit different purposes. On both our visits we've had a week each in the One Bedroom Club Pool Villa and the Premier One Bedroom Pool Villa. The latter is a bit larger, but in reality my preference would be for the former due to its particular layout. It's also a bit cheaper. Whilst the resort has 2 large pools, it's a real luxury to be able to step out in the heat and humidity and plunge straight into your own private pool. The service provided by the staff is outstanding, particularly Carlie, Eka and Chef Dean. All staff are friendly, accommodating and efficient. They will arrange anything you require without any problems. The dining at the resort is of very high quality and whilst it's nice to go outside to other restaurants for a change, the resort's menu and drink options won't disappoint. When you take into account the inclusions (open minibar, free cocktail hour, transfers into Ubud, airport transfers, laundry service, afternoon tea etc), the Tanah Gajah Resort is a great experience as either a base to explore the Ubud area, or to simply laze about and relax.

There are some places you visit that leave a lasting impression, and Tanah Gajah, a Resort by Hadiprana, is absolutely one of them.

Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at this magnificent resort in Ubud, and to say we were blown away would be an understatement.

From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by the most beautiful people, incredible hospitality and breathtaking scenery. The entire property is simply spectacular. Every corner feels like a postcard, with lush tropical gardens, stunning architecture and an atmosphere of complete tranquillity.

The food was outstanding, the spa experience was absolutely divine, and the attention to detail throughout the resort was second to none.

But what made our experience truly unforgettable was the team.

As business owners ourselves, we understand the importance of creating exceptional customer experiences, and I can genuinely say that the team at Tanah Gajah have mastered this. Their kindness, warmth, professionalism and genuine passion for what they do is something very special.

We were travelling with our children, and the entire experience was wonderful for our family. It gave us the opportunity to slow down, reconnect and create beautiful memories together in one of the most spectacular settings imaginable.

We’ve travelled extensively and experienced some incredible resorts, but Tanah Gajah has certainly earned a place among our absolute favourites.

We absolutely loved our stay at Tanah Gajah! We would especially like to highlight the warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism of the entire team, who provide truly exceptional and highly personalized service, making us feel special at every moment.

The breakfast is simply outstanding, both in terms of quality, variety, and presentation.

We also had the wonderful opportunity to experience the Kecak & Fire Dance performance, accompanied by an absolutely delicious traditional Balinese dinner. A truly unique and memorable cultural experience!
