Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Came here for a 6 night stay on my honeymoon. We had issues with our first room and were moved to a Villa. The hotel itself is surrounded by lush jungle greenery. They have some of the best views from their own restaurants! The Villa is amazing and the hotel staff are so friendly and attentive. Food and drinks on site is great. The breakfast buffet is huge and has so many options. They make great latte art! The recreation staff are amazing. We did yoga and also the growing grounds tour which teaches you all about the gardening and rice. Amazing hotel all around it is top notch.
Service was poor all around and hotel facilities are dated
Pools way too small for number of people and water got filthy during day.
Spectacular setting and environment!
We had a great experience for our 3 night and 4 day stay at Maya Ubud. Staff was very responsive and helpful. Food was good. They need to add more vegetarian and vegan options. The property is beautiful and offers many amenities. It is very close to Ubud market center which was very convenient and they offer a shuttle. Very family friendly and will visit again in the future. We would like to thank Rani, Sumi, Arya, Mana & team for their hospitality. We also wanted to thank photographer for amazing experience.
We stayed at Maya Ubud for four nights in two Garden View rooms as a family of five, and it was the very first stop of our journey through Bali and Southeast Asia. Looking back after our travels, we can confidently say it remained one of the absolute highlights of our entire trip.
The property itself is absolutely stunning. Luxurious yet perfectly integrated into the surrounding rainforest, it offers an atmosphere that is both elegant and incredibly peaceful. Waking up to the sounds of nature and experiencing the rainforest from sunrise to sunset was something truly special. The location is simply perfect if you’re looking for an authentic jungle experience without compromising on comfort.
What impressed us the most was the service. Every single member of the team delivered an impeccable level of hospitality throughout our stay. Everyone was genuinely warm, attentive, highly professional, and spoke excellent English. No request ever felt like too much, and we always felt sincerely welcomed.
What makes this even more impressive is that during our four-night stay, the resort hosted two weddings. Despite what must have been an enormous logistical effort behind the scenes, we never once experienced any delays, compromises in service, or disruptions to our stay. Everything continued to run flawlessly, which speaks volumes about the professionalism of the entire team and the outstanding management of the resort. They deserve tremendous credit for maintaining such exceptional standards.
Our two children absolutely loved every minute at Maya Ubud, especially the Kids’ Club. One of their favorite memories was watching baby monkeys playing in the trees just outside while they were enjoying the activities. Moments like these made the experience unforgettable for our whole family.
The spa deserves a special mention because it was, quite honestly, the most extraordinary spa experience I have ever had. My therapist was exceptionally skilled and professional. On the morning of my treatment, heavy tropical rain was falling over the rainforest, and listening to the rain while enjoying the massage created the most magical and deeply relaxing atmosphere imaginable. It was truly a next-level wellness experience.
The cleanliness throughout the resort was flawless, reflecting the very high standards maintained across every part of the property.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the dinners, cocktails, and the overall evening atmosphere. The restaurants were excellent, the ambiance was sophisticated yet relaxed, and the overall guest profile contributed to a calm, refined environment that made the entire stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel exceeded our expectations in every possible way. It combines luxury, outstanding hospitality, breathtaking nature, and genuine Balinese warmth into an unforgettable experience. Every member of our family left with wonderful memories, and we would return without hesitation. Highly recommended.
A gorgeous property with large comfortable rooms. Our room had a patio out one set of doors and a small balcony out another set of doors. I didn't like that we couldn't turn off the patio light at night, however. Floors were slippery when they got wet, so take care. Amazing extensive breakfast buffet for many cultures! Two gorgeous pools and a surprise Ramayana Dance was performed at dinner time with Gamelan music! We put in laundry and it was returned folded in a basket and smelling delicious! Very inexpensive. We were told 2x the hours for Happy Hour at the Tree Bar, included on a written paper and by the front desk. We went to the Tree Bar only to find out happy hours had changed and ended the hour before! That was poor customer service to do that to people.
