A truly unforgettable experience
Our stay at Mandapa was truly unforgettable. It was easily the best hotel experience and best service my family and I have ever received anywhere in the world.
The entire team at Mandapa deserves recognition. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everyone treated us with an incredible level of warmth, kindness, and attention. The service never felt forced or scripted. Every person we encountered genuinely seemed to care about our family and about making our stay special.
A very special thank you goes to Tira, who took extraordinary care of us throughout our stay. She made us feel less like hotel guests and more like we were part of the Mandapa family. She was thoughtful, caring, attentive, and incredibly genuine. By the end of our stay, saying goodbye to her honestly felt like saying goodbye to a friend.
Mandapa itself is absolutely beautiful, but there are beautiful luxury hotels all over the world. What separates Mandapa is its people. The entire team created a feeling and an experience that is difficult to put into words.
We’ve stayed at many wonderful hotels, but Mandapa has set a new standard for us. My family will remember this experience for a very long time, and we already look forward to the day we can return.
Thank you to Tira and the entire Mandapa team for making us feel so genuinely welcomed, cared for, and at home. You didn’t just give us an amazing vacation—you gave our family memories we will always treasure.

Exceptionally memorable stay in Ubud.
We had an amazing stay in Mandapa Ritz-Carlton for a few nights to decompress during our admittedly long Bali trip and we believe this is quite possibly the best accommodation option in the area.
The grounds are beautiful, the architecture is memorable and then you have the Ayung river and the rice terraces and all the jungle around you. Basically all of what makes Ubud great in one spot.
The staff are all exceptional, from the managers, to the drivers, to the housekeeping staff, to the Patih. Everyone is proactive, they catch on what you like immediately and by the end they know what you want or need before you even think about it.
The riverfront pool villa is for sure one of the best villas we have ever stayed at with plenty of living room space next to the pool, a great view of the river, a very spacious bathroom and a very spacious bedroom.
It is truly a place you can go to properly relax or use as a base for all the activities in Ubud. Highly recommended and for sure has us intrigued to try other Reserve properties.
A perfect stay
There is nothing else to add to everyone’s glowing reviews but I still feel compelled to compliment Mandapa on all that they do correctly. My husband and I visited for 4 nights to celebrate our anniversary and were blown away. First of all, the property is stunning. Located right in the middle of rice fields along the river… it felt like a dream anywhere you looked. Our riverfront villa was gorgeous, enormous and always stocked with free treats and snacks which we enjoyed. We also loved the large soaking tub and Toto toilet. We ate dinner at all of their restaurants and did a private Indonesian tasting menu and are still raving about all of the food. Not a single item was a miss. We also had incredible service at all of the restaurants with standouts being Putri at Ambar and Kadek at Kobu. I also loved the free wellness classes including yoga and gong therapy. We took advantage of the spa with an indulgent 90 min couples massage and a couple visits to the rooftop hot tub. We mostly relaxed while there but one morning, we booked the VW tour with Dika as our tour guide and loved it! He took us to a temple, waterfall, coffee tasting, local art studio and rice fields and gave us wonderful information at each. We left with some of the most amazing memories and cannot wait to return. This property and the people who work there deserve all of the praise they receive.

Very memorable experience at Sawah Terrace w/ Mia
Sawah Terrace at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, is already a paradise, but Mia elevated our experience from memorable to truly unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, her warm smile and genuine Balinese hospitality made us feel like honored guests rather than just patrons. Mia doesn't just deliver exceptional service; she shares the heart and soul of Bali. Her pride in her culture shone through as she thoughtfully guided us through the menu, introducing us to traditional flavors, local ingredients, and the rich heritage behind the dishes. It felt like a masterclass in Balinese culture served alongside an incredible meal. What touched us most, however, was how wonderful she was with our children. Mia was endlessly patient, incredibly engaging, and took the time to connect with them on their level, keeping them happy and entertained throughout the entire meal. It allowed us to truly relax and savor the stunning river views and extraordinary food. If you visit Sawah Terrace, ask for Mia. Her warmth, kindness, and authentic spirit represent the absolute best of Mandapa. We left with full stomachs, wonderful memories, and a deep appreciation for Balinese culture, all thanks to her.

Our experience was truly unforgettable, and we are already excited to introduce Mandapa to every single one of our friends. In fact, this stay was so special that we can’t help but start planning visits to other Ritz-Carlton Reserve properties around the world.
We would also like to thank our Patih, Tira, and all the team members once again for the tremendous effort they put into organizing my proposal (including the rose bouquet preparation, photoshoot, and many more), preparing a bunch of amazing surprises (e.g., room decorations), and taking care of every detail of our stay and travel arrangements. The entire experience felt almost too good to be true and went far beyond anything we had imagined.
Strongly recommend to anyone who values privacy or would like to have a highly personalized plan for vacation/proposal/honeymoon.
