This modern hotel is designed in Balinese style and lies right by the long Sanur beach. Sanur's main road with its shops and restaurants are just a short walk from the hotel. Guests will reach the city centre in around 15 minutes with a car and it takes around 25 minutes to reach the airport. Surrounded by a tropical garden, the beach hotel offers delicious dining options and wonderful surroundings. To relax and rest, the outdoor pool are is perfect, it includes a children's area, a poolside snack bar as well as a sun terrace that will certainly please all visitors. The tastefully furnished rooms feature all the amenities needed for a comfortable and unforgettable stay.

Renovations- beware
MAJOR RENOVATIONS (3rd time returning guests) Please be aware that this property is undergoing major renovations. The restaurant is closed and operating from temporary facilities. Half of the main pool is covered by scaffolding. The swim up bar is closed. Breakfast was served from temporary facilities and was very poor (cold and mostly in short supply). Rooms however are very good with a nice comfy bed and soft pillows. If we had known in advance about the level of disruption we would have stayed elsewhere.

Exceptional service, fantastic location
Absolutely amazing stay. Clean and modern rooms. Awesome amenities. Food was great. The pools were both really nice. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially Niq at guest services. We ended up staying an extra day.
The place is right on the long boardwalk that goes the length of Sanur Beach which is amazing for taking walks. Lots of restaurants and cafes along the beach.
We booked airport pickup via the hotel which was both worth it and was cheaper than getting a taxi. The driver was waiting for us at the baggage claim exit.
Through the hotel we booked massages at the spa, afternoon high tea, and the sailboat ride. They were all wonderful experiences.
Although the food at the hotel was really good, we also recommend walking north on the boardwalk to Icon Bali mall and trying out the street food vendors at the bottom floor. Tons of variety and very clean and delicious.

October 26 stay
We enjoyed our 7 night stay at the Griya but as a return visitor (3rd time) I have found that this time the staff are less courteous than previous occasions. The unveiling of the renovated pool bar and restaurant happened when there and it does look amazing, I do hope that they put hand rails to assist at the stairs though. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent, I couldn’t fault the meal at all. I do think that the pool furthest away from the beach should be an Adults only as there was a lot of families with young children and it would be nice for one area to be away from the over excited squealing.

Found my place for a change of scenery
I have had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Griya Santrian. Service was great and the staff were friendly. Part of my reason for coming was looking for a hotel I can easily visit as I get older for a break. There were people here with walking sticks, wheelie walkers and wheelchairs. I have found my place for a change of scenery.
Wonderful Stay
This hotel is beautiful, we had an amazing time. The rooms are a good size, we had 226 overlooking the garden pool. The room was spotless and cleaned everyday, the staff are simply amazing, nothing is too much trouble and everyone always seemed to have a smile on their faces. Breakfast was of a good standard and there was plenty of it.
The hotel is very Balinese in style with the most beautiful gardens, the pools are both very good and we never had an issues getting sun lounges round the pool. The lounges on the beach is another matter. Overall the Griya Sanitarian was wonderful and i would highly recommend it. I would say its more of a couples hotel than a family one, there were families there but not a lot for the children to do.
