Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Conrad Bali is one of those places where you arrive and immediately understand why people rave about resorts.
This place is BIG — beautifully, gloriously big. The gardens, the pools, the pathways, the beachfront, the whole layout… it feels less like a hotel and more like an entire little tropical world.
And the pool situation is ridiculous in the best possible way. There are pools everywhere, including the enormous lagoon pool running through the resort. You could quite happily spend an entire day swimming, lying around, eating, drinking and doing absolutely nothing else.
The beach is another huge plus. This is properly beachfront, with a beautiful stretch of sand and the ocean right there. You don’t have that slightly annoying feeling of being at a “beach resort” where the beach is technically somewhere in the vicinity. Here, it really is part of the experience.
But what I loved most was that despite the scale and the luxury, it didn’t feel cold or sterile. The whole place has a warmth to it. The staff were wonderful and there was still that lovely Balinese feeling of being looked after rather than simply being serviced.
After coming from Maya Sanur, the contrast was fascinating. Maya had this wonderful, intimate, walk-out-into-Sanur feeling. Conrad is the opposite: you walk in and think, “Holy wow, look at this place.”
And honestly, that was exactly what I wanted.
The rooms and grounds are beautiful, the food is excellent, the pools are spectacular and the beachfront is gorgeous. There is also enough going on that you can happily stay inside the resort for an entire day without feeling like you are missing out.
Conrad Bali is not just a hotel. It is a proper holiday destination.
I absolutely loved it.
Excellent hotel, amazing staff, amazing food and top facilities.
I would recommend, big shout out for bui at the suko restaurant who went the extra mile with all of the guests and making it a top stay.
Had a wonderful time at Conrad - 5 star service from the moment we stepped into the hotel. The hotel provided us with an extra bed without requesting for it to make our stay more comfortable. We were also given a complimentary photo session with photographer Galang who produced a great portfolio of my children. The staff were always polite, friendly and attentive to our needs ! Would definitely recommend and will consider going back again.
We stayed at the Conrad Bali for 9 days in August as a family of five (2 adults and three children aged 11, 9 and 9).
The absolute highlight was the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, attentive and genuinely service-oriented. From housekeeping and the pool team to the restaurants and reception, there was a consistent willingness to help and make our stay special.
A special mention goes to our personal concierge Nanta, who was fantastic. He was always available via WhatsApp and made organizing trips, restaurant reservations and other arrangements incredibly easy. With three children, this was a huge plus.
The pools are outstanding, with excellent service directly at the pool. The resort itself is beautiful, spotless and exceptionally well maintained. Food and facilities were good and in line with what we would expect from a resort of this standard.
The beach, however, was a real disappointment for us. If you are looking for a turquoise-water, paradise beach or a proper beach holiday, this is probably not the right place for you. The seagrass grows naturally on the seabed and is very visible, so the water doesn’t have the tropical turquoise appearance you might expect. There is also a very strong tide, and there are very few, if any, sun loungers on the beach. During our entire 9-day stay, we didn’t spend a single day there — and interestingly, we hardly saw anyone else using the beach either.
There is also constant jet-ski and boat traffic directly in front of the beach, which means it can smell of fuel at times. We actually enjoyed the jet skiing ourselves, but it definitely adds to the feeling that this is not a secluded paradise beach.
At low tide, however, there is a nice upside: you can walk quite far out and see sea urchins, lots of starfish and other marine life.
One general note: the south of Bali is very touristy and, as in many parts of Bali, waste management can be an issue outside the resort. This is absolutely not a criticism of the Conrad itself — the property was exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable family stay, with the exceptional staff being the clear highlight. We would happily return — but primarily for the resort, pools and service, not for the beach.
