- Wyndham Garden Kuta Bali

Beach front location only steps away to the beach, only minutes from the Denpasar International Airport, walking distance to shopping centre, dining and entertainment facilities. The hotel is located beach front and within walking distance to major shopping mall, restaurants and night life in Kuta Beach.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
My friend and I stayed at Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach, and while there were some definite positives, overall I don’t feel the hotel currently lives up to a 4 star rating. For me, it would be more accurately described as a 3 star hotel.
The biggest positive was the exceptional customer service from the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful, and they really did their best to make our stay enjoyable. The location is also both a positive and a negative. It’s incredibly convenient for getting around Kuta and being close to everything, but that convenience comes with a LOT of noise.
My friend and I had separate rooms, with hers directly above mine. We arrived on Saturday and unfortunately had the worst night’s sleep of our entire trip. I had read previous reviews mentioning the noise, but I honestly thought it wouldn’t bother me, I usually don’t mind a bit of traffic or background noise. Unfortunately, this was different. There is music playing outside until around 10pm (at least on Saturdays), which isn’t particularly late, but our room faced directly towards it and the windows are not double glazed, so it was extremely noticeable. The bigger issue was the constant sound of cars and especially motorbikes directly outside the rooms. It wasn’t the normal background traffic noise you might expect in a busy location, it was surprisingly loud and made it difficult to sleep and continued until 3am-ish.
The room itself was actually very spacious, which I really appreciated. However, there were quite a few signs that the property needs some attention and maintenance. The bathroom had significant calcium build-up on the fixtures and surfaces. I understand that in a humid climate, bathrooms can show their age more quickly, so this alone wouldn’t have been a deal breaker for me. There were also some smaller maintenance issues, the wardrobe doors wouldn’t close properly and therefore remained open, and the piece of wood behind the luggage storage area was barely attached. The towels were also looking quite tired, with yellowing and threads coming loose.
Overall, I think the hotel has a lot going for it, particularly its wonderful staff, convenient location and spacious rooms. However, the condition of the rooms and, most importantly for me, the noise levels really let the experience down. I genuinely think this property would be better classified as a 3 star hotel rather than a 4 star. And interestingly, if I had booked it knowing it was a 3 star hotel, I probably wouldn’t have felt disappointed at all (apart from the noise). My expectations would have been completely different.
The staff deserve a special mention because their service was genuinely excellent, unfortunately, the hotel itself needs some investment and maintenance to match the 4 star rating.
Unfortunately the friendly staff can’t lift this score. While the location works for travellers the hotel itself leaves so much to be
The rooms all appear to need an update. Painting. Fixtures replace.
We had water running from the room tap in the shower come off in my hand. The breakfast thankfully was not included. Very limited options.
The bathroom door in the room we stayed in is very tough to slide.
The housekeeping did not do the job well because they left dirty glasses and cups on the table when they finished.
But the front office hospitality is nice and friendly, and the food is also excellent.
Staff were fantastic but like many hotels in Bali they are showing their age and need some cosmetic updates. Pool and decking older and rickety
I enquired to stay at Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach. LOVED the location. After mutluple emails asking when refurbishment of the lagoon pool access rooms would be completed I was told they could not give me a completion date. We stayed at our usual Grand Barong fr the 26th of June to the 6th of July. During our stay we visited Wyndham Garden to see if would like to stay there in the future. It is in need of huge amount of work. The decking around the pools needs replacing, and to be actually screwed down. There were lots of tiles missing from the bottom of the pools. The rooms at the lagoon pool are not available to book. Over all I was very disappointed. I had high hopes. I had booked 4 rooms hoping the lagoon access rooms would be completed and we could change to those rooms. I ended up cancelling. I am glad I chose to stay at Grand Barong. As I said the location is amazing right accoss the road from the beach and close to shopping and restaurant's. But the actual facitilies are in dire need of A LOT of work and upgrades.
