I share my experience specifically for people with celiac disease: Aida at La Palapa (breakfast and lunch restaurant) went above and beyond to show me the celiac-safe/gluten free dishes at each meal. Many thanks for your attentiveness.

A minor critique for the “evening” restaurants is the lack of or few dessert options that are celiac-safe. One time I ordered a gluten-free dessert option and then was informed that it wasn’t celiac safe, so that was a disappointing experience, but overall we as celiacs anticipate having a more difficult time dining out and overall CRT was wonderful.

This staff was so nice and welcoming. The atmosphere is amazing and beautiful. The rooms are spacious and quiet. And the room service cleans the room so well.

This is my 4th time to Catalonia Tulum, and likely I’ll be back. this is a gorgeous, small, intimate resort. Perfect for couples or just friends looking to enjoy some relaxing time. This is NOT a party resort. If that’s what you are looking for, then this is not your place. There is nightly entertainment and activities in the pool. The beach is lovely and we had no trouble getting a lounger daily. Walk into the ocean and experience soft sand almost everywhere! The grounds are full of foliage and little critters. Just very serene. Staff is wonderful! You will love them and they will love you back. A special shout out to the greeters at the buffet, they are so inviting! Rooms were sufficient in my opinion. Could use some drawers maybe but we were just fine.
Drinks I thought were good. Wish I could get a mimosa at the buffet in morning, but you have to wait til 10:00. As a Privelaged customer, I could get a mimosa there before 10:00, but could not get Baileys in my coffee til 10:00. Seemed silly to me. If you are a foodie, this is not your place. Food is average to good. Plenty of choices on buffet but in my opinion, the food quality has gone down since my last visit 2 years ago. Menus have changed and just feel like it’s not as good as it used to be. That being said, it’s still decent resort food. I can’t say we had any favorites, except Beloved for lunch. The steak restaurant was our least favorite. Our steaks were average at best, with my friends New York Strip being gristly and hard to cut/eat. And the hamburger at the little snack restaurant by the bar…do not get. Worst hamburger ever. We paid extra to be Privelaged, mostly for their food. However, not sure that we’d spring for that again. However, the setting is wonderful and you can look at the beautiful ocean while you dine.
I did get a full body massage in the beach while I was there and Eloisa was wonderful.

We did not use the pool much but it was very nice and was clean, as were the grounds in general. The workers work hard to keep the resort nice.

I’m sure I’ve missed a few things. All in all, this is a very nice place and is still one of my favorites. Would just like to see better food choices and it would just about be perfect. What I also loved was you experienced people from many different countries, both young and old. If you are looking for a chill vacation this is your place.
