TRS Yucatan Hotel

For our first all-inclusive, we felt it was good at times, and disappointing at others. First off, we were hounded hard first day, and second day to sign up for everything they could throw at us. The worst part was their lack of clear answers when we asked about what they were signing us up for, or what they were planning for the next day. The marketing lady wasn't clear about what she was talking about several times and made it seem like we were signing up for a credit card. When we said no, she stood up and became frustrated we were saying no. Then her manager had to intervene and tell us it was not a credit card, but instead a rewards program. She then told us she was going to set us up with a breakfast time. I asked why, she never gave a clear answer. She asked what time and I told her it depended on when we woke up, because we could go to sleep at different times. I asked again why and she just was not clear. That next day, she shows up and takes us to breakfast. However, she then starts talking about a 1 hour long course or something they want us to take. I was very clear at that point that I had no intention of sitting through anything because we were on vacation. She then made remarks to my wife about how she understands because of the husband. Overall, she gave us bad service and was our first real taste of this resort. The rest of the staff was mostly legit! Food - inconsistent. The sports bar had bad food, and service. Our service seemed annoyed. Most of the food we ordered was also poor there. The steakhouse (El Gaucho) was also meh. My steak was discolored, and one side of the steak my fork could completely go through it and hit the plate. I ate half the steak and was disappointed. However, the buffets were really good - breakfast, lunch and dinner. A few items we were not fans of (my wife wanted a hot dog, and it tasted weird), but overall we rock with the buffets. The desserts were also pretty legit. Drinks - also inconsistent. I ordered a lot of mimosas, and throughout the resort it was made slightly different. Not a big deal, but mudslides were made different, and so were whiskey and cokes. Drinks were strong, not weak though. We also had cold water for our sauna, and it took 1.5 days after we submitted a work order through the app to have someone check on it and fix it. A lot of good memories this trip!! Would not particularly recommend this specific location though.

After a disasterous start to our holiday with BA. We finally arrived at the hotel, we were greeted respectfully and oh so friendly staff, so helpful. Made us feel relaxed. We felt like we belonged. Namely Carlos, Fermin, Gabriel, Lourdes, Martha, Sarah, Ashley, Jose, Marcos to name but a few. welcomed us and treated us so well. This hotel is great the food lovely, room service was good but sometimes cold, drinks, cocktails well worth it, yes luxury. The rooms were kept immaculate mini fridge replenished daily, activities a plenty. So diverse, smiles everywhere you turned, Wild animals roaming around.our first time in Mexico so glad I picked TRS. Will return with our grandchildren. Loved it!!!! The Issacs

We went on a couple trip and our stay here was amazing!!! The food was delicious especially ala carte lunch at Helios, our dinner at Chic Cabaret, and most especially Tentazione!!! Our waiter Eudi was amazing!! Our butler Alexx provided excellent service and recommendations! We truly have nothing negative to say about this experience
