Amazing. No notes
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at impression Moxche and celebrating an anniversary and also my birthday. We had SUCH a relaxing time I kept forgetting what day it even is. Our butlers Maili and Zulda were out of this world. They made our whole trip effortless and even decorated the room for my birthday. I would highly recommend this resort for a couple trying to relax! And don’t miss out on the spa- Jessica and Raina were amazing!
Check in and check out were a breeze!
Anniversary trip ruined by suspected food poisoning.
We were so excited to visit Impressions at Secrets Moxche to celebrate our anniversary. We used our Hyatt points for the trip as this is a level of splurge we typically wouldn’t be able to afford. Unfortunately our trip came to a screeching halt on day 3 as my wife became violently ill with stomach and gastrointestinal issues and still is since arriving home. My wife literally never gets sick but this hit her like a freight train and she says she’s never felt this ill. We suspect it could have been caused by vegetables or fruits she ate that morning or the night before (we had different things). We ate at multiple restaurants so it’s hard to pin down which one could have been to blame but I shared these details with the Hyatt representative I spoke with.
After doing a quick search of Trip Advisor and the resorts Facebook forums I saw multiple posts about guest becoming severely ill with the same symptoms she was having in posts from the last several weeks and even a few days before we arrived. One post said the couple had tested positive for E-Coli upon arriving back in the states. After seeing this we immediately decided to leave. While still at the resort I contacted Hyatt directly about this experience as well as the food service manager at Moxche as this is a very serious safety issue that needs immediate attention and action to resolve. I asked to speak to the resort management but all I got was the food service supervisor; I shared our experience with her. I’m hopeful we get refunded the points we used for this trip. The resort is beautiful but all of it is worthless if you’re risking your health eating here. I hope that higher management at Hyatt interveen.

Serviceable resort, but for the price look elsewhere
This resort is perfectly fine, but why go to a perfectly fine resort when better are available?
The grounds and rooms do not look as new as they should. There is a lot of wear and tear, some areas and dirty and unkempt. There was a lot of active upkeep like painting and construction, which is good for future guests but not the ones currently there.
There’s a lot of noise from party groups and the resort staff does nothing to stop it. Screaming and yelling deep into the night (2-3 am).
The food is edible but no where near “good.” I was shocked to hear so many people raving about the various dishes. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks this is the best cheeseburger they’ve ever had. They also do not bring you water bottles at the pool which is very unusual.
The room has only seeds and nuts available as snacks, and when I asked for something else I was told no. I tried to bring pizza to my pool chair from barefoot grill and was also told no. I asked someone else where to get food to bring to my chair, he said barefoot grill. Huh? I explained I was told no. He told me to do it anyway…. Very weird. Didn’t love that.
The spa was overpriced and the massage wasn’t great. Hydrotherapy not included with a full price massage which I’ve never heard of before at such a high end resort.
Service was worse than other resorts, but adequate. Only a few outright rude staff but most were overall pleasant, just not near the level I’m used to for such a nice place.
The best part of the resort is the pools, which are amazing. The rooftop pool on impressions cannot be beat. The taco cart was delicious, as long as the raccoon was not grabbing food off tables (yes, really happened, multiple times). Most other guests I spoke to really liked the resort but I wonder if they just haven’t been to better. If this is your first all inclusive, you might really like it. I won’t be back because so many are much better.
Staff who were EXCEPTIONAL: Benita (Suki server), Hugo (Impressions pool concierge), Marco & Jorge (impressions pool waiters), Marco (Dos Allmos bartender), Jessica & Jose (entertainment team), Jesus (Sea side waiter), Emilio (butler). All of you made this time much better! A resort full of this group would be ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Can't wait to return
You don't go to this resort for the beach. You go for the amenities and exceptional service. Our room was perfectly appointed, the only downside being the darkness of the bathroom and challenges trying to apply makeup - otherwise it was lovely. My birthday occurred during our stay and the staff went out of their way to make it special with room decorations, a cake, and a jacuzzi bath filled with bubbles and rose petals when we returned from dinner. The grounds are impeccable. While the resort footprint may seem small- there are so many places to go and curl up with a book or enjoy a swim in relative peace and quiet. Food was excellent- perhaps some of the very best we have ever had in Mexico. We are already planning a return visit.

Amazing resort
My wife and I just had an amazing time at Impressions and Secrets Moxche. The staff there are so friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic. The accommodations are luxurious. The pools are relaxing and plentiful. We've been to several other resorts (Beloved, Finest, Xcaret) before and this was the first one that my wife and I agreed we would return to before we even left.
Specifically, I'd like to thank Jose, Jessica, and Axel on the entertainment team for making our stay extra special. Maria and Mariella were excellent butlers. Hugo, Hugo, David, and Daniel were excellent at the pool.
