Secrets Impression Moxche

I love the food of the hotel! Beautiful scenery and grounds. The entertainment team does a great job keeping us busy and happy at all times. Special thanks to Jose, Jazmin, Ilse and Axel for their effort to entertain us.

First time to Impressions Moxché and would definitely return!

Have been looking forward to visit the resort after reading the great reviews. It’s easy to see why the loyal following.

Booked a Signature Suite Ocean View - was upgraded to the Ocean Front.

Room- while the view was ocean front, prob the smallest room in the building - only one sink in the bathroom and lighting was dim throughout.

Clean, nice firm bed, couple of varying pillow options.

AC was ok - didn’t get any lower than 20.0C but having a fan in the room helped. Loved the Le Labo Bergamot 22 products! Housekeeping did a great

Only complaint would be the lack of decent room snacks - had nuts and gummies. No chips.

Restaurants: The Seaside Beach Club for breakfast and lunch - liked how there was an option for indoor or sitting outside. Even though warm and muggy - there is a nice breeze coming off the ocean and plenty of fans that it was very comfortable.

Breakfast platter of fresh fruit was generous and varied. The French toast was yummy. Had a harpist playing.
Lunch: the empanadas, arepas and shrimp were delicious

The lunch at Cielo was great too - especially the smash burger and the poke bowl. The lobster roll was fine - small and not enough lobster to roll ratio.

Lunch at Bamboo was solid - the pad Thai noodle was just a touch gummy but good flavor. The fish was cooked well and sauce good but a little sweet for our taste.

Dinner at Ember, Dos Almos, and Bisou - reservations needed for Ember and Bisou - which our butler arranged at check in.

Like how the menus are different from others in the Secrets family of hotels. Portions are large (too much for us) but I can see most Americans enjoying the size of appetizers, soups and entrees. Overall the quality of the food was very good - especially at the first two. Bisou was a little disappointing because almost every dish we had included some mushroom cream / base.

We also liked how there were grills set up by Dos Almos.

Bars: Standard AI bars drinks. Nothing unfortunately stood out for us.

Pools: Nice assortment of pools - we mainly stayed at the impressions main pool - quiet and plenty of seating. No need towel saving required.

Loved the main pool with beach like zero entry - was able to watch one of the World Cup matches on the big screen while sitting in the pool! The resort overall has plenty of varying pool options.

Also like the assortment of live music off and on poolside / by the beach

Beach: Fine - not as nice as others Secrets in Cancun but have done a good job channeling the sargassum away - still can smell it at the impression main pool early in the am.

Given that the main pool gives off beach front vibe not necessary to be at the real beach !

Service: The service is what would bring us back. Check-in as pretty efficient - no up selling going on. Servers /bartenders and pool attendants were very friendly and helpful.

A shout out to our concierge (Maria/ Mariela - the former being the one we saw the most) during our stay. They would check in on us at least once a day and also pointed out special events for the day. Maria also got us checked out within minutes (we didn’t have any incidentals to deals with) despite there were other couples settling their bills ahead of us.

Also our pool attendants David and Daniel were there to help set up our chairs with towel and move the umbrella around.

Our few niggles: our upgraded room felt somewhat like a downgrade given it seemed dark and small with only one sink. View was great though. Food / snacks at the impression lounge seemed stale (eg pretzels) Mosquitos (worse than what we’ve dealt with at SMB or Secrets Akumal) - not enough iguanas running around?

Overall - would definitely recommend!

This has honestly been one of the best all inclusive resorts that my wife and I have been to. We were there in July celebrating our 10yr anniversary and I can’t express enough how accommodating the entire staff was. From the butlers on the Impression side of the resort, to the foot, to the Activities team and beyond - this has been an unforgettable experience. Jose and Jazmine always made sure that we had an activity to partake in each day, and after just one activity we felt that we’d known them our entire lives. Our burners Mariela and Maria were phenomenal also. There was no request that they said no to. They made sure we were accommodated throughout and constantly checked-in to ensure optimal comfort. I highly recommend this resort and we definitely plan to come back!
