Pros: Lots of pools Grounds very beautiful Lovely beach Clean, big room
Cons Food was terrible - like a school canteen Slow - check in took one hour, at check out, no one came to collect our bags as promised Tacky entertainment and badly behaved bratty children running around About half the staff we interacted with were clueless and unhelpful
Only stayed one night and we were very glad our stay wasn’t longer - we usually stay in smaller, boutique hotels and felt like branching out and trying something new (don’t do that lol).
For the past 18 years vacation only here
I spent a week here with my family for a friend’s wedding. This is a beautiful resort with lush grounds, great restaurant options and a large pool. The beach was nice but the large amount of seaweed and non-stop heavy winds put a damper on the experience.
We enjoyed walking around the property and spotting all the wildlife. You really feel like you’re out in nature away from civilization.
I would stay here again for sure.
I traveled from the US to Mexico with my husband my son and his best friend to celebrate not only my birthday but my son and his friend’s graduation from high school. Upon arrival we were greeted and partially checked in by the receptionist who advised us the room wasn’t ready. It was fine because we were then handed off to Brenda from the concierge desk and was treated very nicely. She had a very lovely spirit about her and was very welcoming. After Brenda we were handed off to book an excursion. We got exactly what we wanted which was an 9 hour adventure on ATV with a tour in Tulum. It also included lunch. Everyone is very nice and friendly. The only problem I have had so far was it’s been raining the first couple days so everything has been wet. I had dinner reservations for husband and myself and I went to get in the golf cart(which is used for transportation throughout the resort) and the metal flooring of the cart was wet. I went to stand up and my foot/shoe slipped on the wet floor and I twisted my ankle and fell out the cart onto the concrete. To my surprise a lot of the resort guest ran to help me but I didn’t see not one resort employee come to assist them with me. After I was helped back into the cart by the guest a man from the resort asked me what room I was in wrote it down and that was it. The next day after the fall not one employee came to see if I was ok or needed a doctor or anything which that was a bit disappointing. I would have thought at least a phone call to check on my ankle would have taken place but it has not. Overall I would say it was an “okay” experience at this resort. Brenda has definitely been the most welcoming and helpful person since arrived.
Let me just say, traveling from across the world to stay at this resort is by far one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made. From the moment I have arrived I have been very disappointed with how poorly I’ve been treated by management at this property. If I must leave a positive review about anything it would have to be Brenda at the concierge desk. Very lovely honest woman. She was very welcoming and helpful with everything I’ve asked of her. It was like she WANTED to help not like she was FORCED to help. The only way I’d come back to this location is if and only if Brenda was my personal tour guide and she got to enjoy the trip with me not only assist me. But we all know that would never happen so I wouldn’t come back.
