Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya is an adults-only beachfront resort located in the selcluded region of Riviera Maya, and surrounded by lush mangroves. The property has easy access to the Cancun International Airport and is only six miles from Playa del Carmen. This luxurious 291-suite resort breathes romance, resembling a modern hacienda, sitting along a stretch of pure white sand beach. During their stay, guests will enjoy the unlimited food and beverages selections at nine restaurants, bars and lounges, relax at the ocean-view pool, indulge with some pampering at the full-service Zen Spa and round the day out with nightly performances. Combining beautiful architecture with impeccable service and lavish accommodations, this all-inclusive resort is a vacation paradise like no other.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had an amazing stay at Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya celebrating our anniversary! We stayed in a Club Level pool-view swim-up suite, and the service truly made this resort stand out.
Our butler, Cristian, was exceptional. He made all of our dinner reservations as soon as we arrived, kept us stocked with bottles of my favorite wine, and even surprised us by decorating our room for our anniversary. His attention to detail made our stay feel so special.
The food was excellent, with the Italian restaurant and sushi being our favorites. We never had trouble getting dinner reservations when we booked them upon arrival. The drinks were fantastic, especially in the Club Lounge where they served top-shelf liquor.
There were always plenty of chairs available by the pool, so we never had to worry about finding a place to relax. We also enjoyed several of the included activities. The complimentary catamaran ride to a nearby cenote with Miguel was a highlight, and both the ceviche class and the Tortilla class were a lot of fun. We also enjoyed yoga, pilates, hydrotherapy, and an ice bath (all included).
The only downside for us was the beach. Due to the sargassum, it wasn’t very swimmable and the odor kept us from spending much time there. Fortunately, the beautiful pools and outstanding service more than made up for it.
Overall, this is a wonderful resort with exceptional staff, great food and drinks, and a relaxing atmosphere. We would absolutely return and highly recommend Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya, especially if you’re looking for a resort where the service goes above and beyond.
We stayed at Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya for a quick getaway and had a really enjoyable, relaxing trip. One of the biggest reasons we chose this resort was because of the gluten-free accommodations, and they did a great job. While the gluten-free options were somewhat limited, the staff was knowledgeable, the waiters were well-informed about what was safe to eat, and they took dietary restrictions seriously. Most importantly, I did not get sick during our stay, which made the vacation much less stressful.
The resort itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and has a peaceful atmosphere. The pool was nice, but get there early or you won't get a chair. The only downside was the entertainment. If you're looking for a lively resort with lots of activities, this may not be the best fit, as the entertainment was nearly nonexistent. However, if your goal is to unwind and enjoy a quieter vacation, it works well.
Overall, we had a great experience. The helpful staff, safe gluten-free dining, beautiful property, and relaxing pool made this a wonderful choice for a relaxing getaway.
Everything about this place is such a dream. Peaceful is also one. We’ve been to other all inclusive resort before but first time in an all adult and I have to say that as a woman of late 30’s this is the vibe. Everyone has been so helpful and friendly. We had to upgrade our room to an in swim suite with club level access and boy, it was the best decision! We had our own butler Raul who’s very attentive and responsive to all our requests during our stay. The front desk at night when we checked in was very lovely (I wish I didn’t forget her name). The bar tender too. Very friendly! Love the quiet atmosphere in the hotel and their services! Although, I hope to have more restaurant experiences there as there are only 4 choices and you always have to do a reservation for dinner which wasn’t really bad. Overall, great experience and I hope this doesn’t downgrade in the future.
We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Zilara and left feeling relaxed and recharged. The resort was clean and well kept from the room to the common areas, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and well maintained.
The food and drinks were a highlight of our trip. The tacos from the snack bar were surprisingly some of our favorite bites of the entire vacation! We also loved the Italian restaurant so much that we went twice. Unfortunately, the food quality wasn’t as consistent on our second visit, but the service was excellent both times. A special thank you to Ivan and Franklin, who evidently wanted to make each dinner a great experience.
The Club experience was definitely worth it, made even better by Ariel in the lounge bar. Everyone in the club area were friendly, attentive, and remembered us throughout our stay, making us feel genuinely welcome. Their service added a personal touch that made our vacation even more enjoyable.
The spa was a highlight. The hydrotherapy circuit was very relaxing, and the staff did a great job guiding us through each step. I do wish there had been an option to enjoy the hydro spa independently at our own pace but Adriana gave an incredibly relaxing massage that was exactly what I needed.
One thing to note if you’re looking for nightlife: this is definitely a quieter resort. During our stay, the evening entertainment consisted of soft live music each night, and things wrapped up fairly early. That suited us perfectly since we were looking to unwind, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re hoping for a lively party atmosphere.
The sargassum (seaweed) was heavier than usual during our visit, but to be expected this time of year and certainly wasn’t the resort’s fault.
Overall, Hyatt Zilara delivered exactly what we were looking for—a clean, relaxing resort with great service, good food, and a peaceful atmosphere. We’d happily return.
The hotel and staff were terrfic but the food needs improvement and all inclusive is about food.
