Grand Velas Riviera Maya

Just got back from our 3rd visit to Grand Velas Riviera Maya and it once again did not disappoint! The staff is amazing and so helpful. The concierge team of Sofia and Miguel made our trip perfect, they will take care of anything you need during your stay, answer questions quickly, and sign you up for resort activities as needed. Definitely don't miss out on the Spa and allow plenty of time to enjoy the Water Ceremony!

Our stay at Grand Velas Riviera Maya was nothing short of extraordinary. We have been fortunate to stay at many luxury resorts around the world, and I can honestly say that Grand Velas sets the benchmark for what true hospitality should be.

What makes this resort exceptional is not just the beautiful property, but the people. Every single member of the staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay perfect. From the moment you arrive until the day you leave, every interaction is warm, professional, and incredibly thoughtful. It is the attention to countless small details that transforms a great vacation into an unforgettable one.

A very special mention goes to Jorge, our personal concierge, who was simply outstanding. He anticipated our needs before we even asked, coordinated every reservation flawlessly, followed up constantly to make sure everything exceeded expectations, and somehow made us feel like we were the only guests at the resort. Jorge is the kind of person who elevates an already exceptional hotel into a truly world-class experience. His professionalism, kindness, responsiveness, and genuine desire to help made a tremendous difference to our vacation.

The food deserves special recognition as well. Every restaurant delivered an outstanding dining experience. The quality of the ingredients, the creativity of the menus, the presentation, and the service were consistently at the level of excellent fine dining. Whether breakfast, lunch, dinner, or room service, every meal exceeded our expectations.

The rooms are beautiful, spacious, impeccably maintained, and incredibly comfortable. Housekeeping is flawless, and every detail reflects the resort’s commitment to excellence.

The spa, pools, gardens, and overall facilities are equally impressive. Everything is meticulously maintained and designed to create an atmosphere of relaxation and luxury.

The only aspect worth mentioning is the beach. During our stay, it was affected by sargassum. The hotel staff worked tirelessly throughout the day to clean it, and their effort was remarkable. Unfortunately, despite those continuous cleaning efforts, swimming in the ocean was not particularly enjoyable because of the seaweed.

That said, this did not diminish our overall experience in the slightest. The service, food, accommodations, and overall quality of the resort are so exceptional that they more than compensate for this natural condition. However, if your main priority is spending long hours swimming in the sea every day, this may not be the ideal resort—even during periods without significant sargassum—as the beach itself is not the property’s strongest feature.

Grand Velas Riviera Maya excels at absolutely everything else, and it does so at a level that is difficult to match anywhere in the world.
