No Frills Experience
The staff aren’t on the same page about the daily programming. You can’t swim in the ocean because it is disgusting. The food was not good. The entertainment was bland. The pools were dirty.

the playa del carmen trip
lovely stay in Mexico, I came to have some dental work performed. This was a lovely place and the people take pride in making your stay enjoyable and fun.
Awesome vacation
Staff were attentive, helpful and friendly especially Eder, Angel, Andres, Diana, Maya and Humberto.
Can be hit or miss, this visit was a smash hit
I will start by saying this was our 4th or 5th visit and the last time we visited the Allegro, we had quite a few issues and I never wanted to come back. I am SO glad we gave this place another chance because they knocked it out of the park this time. The staff was so lovely, the grounds are as beautiful as always, we had a perfect ocean view in our beautiful, immaculate room, and every single day was like a little slice of heaven. It was not too busy, I guess being that it is the off-season with heavy sargassum, but the beach is still beautiful and they keep the pools warm and inviting with plenty of activities. I like that they make a point to keep the sea turtle nesting areas covered and protected. Every single person who works here is kind, helpful, and professional, don't forget to tip these wonderful people who go out of their way to make your stay lovely!

Family holiday
We had a great family holiday and stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly for the most part and delivered excellent service at meal times and when cleaning rooms. My only complaint was the sheets used on the beds were a little too bobbly for my liking.
