Went for a 5 night stay with my family, including 2 young kids ( 5 and 3 years old) at the end of June and we will definitely be returning back!
Our kids had a lot of fun. The kids pool was great! But it is deeper by the slides and the rest of it is as well, so bring floaties. Beach was also great! Seaweed wasn’t bad and when the waves weren’t huge everyone got in, and the kids enjoyed playing on the beach. The arcade wasn’t open yet when we were there, so that is another reason we would go back since there would be even more new things for the kids to explore!
We enjoyed the food and restaurants and were pleasantly surprised for an all inclusive. We haven’t been to many all inclusive but we recently visited a Dreams in Cancun and the food at Paradisus was wayyyy better. I was really happy they had a lot of Mexican food options, and didn’t cater to Americanizing everything, but that is just me.
The staff was also awesome. So nice, welcoming, and even the time share people weren’t pushy at all! One of our kids lost their goggles and it could have totally derailed our last day- but a text to one staff member and they were located in the lost and found! Special shout out to Pascual in the buffet and Rebecca for being so helpful and welcoming!
I was nervous about the restaurant reservation process, but it really wasn’t bad and I was actually relieved from it because we didn’t have to wait in lines and everything was planned out which makes things with little kids easier. Most restaurants had separate kids menus or options, but we did dinner early enough that we could always hit the buffet after if they didn’t eat enough. And of course my kids LOVED the ice cream! We went to the cafe multiple times a day.
I don’t think the resort was full or running at full capacity when we were, which made it very enjoyable and chill. Maybe if it was packed I could see the family concierge being worth it.
My only complaint would be the check in takes a long time, do whatever you can ahead of time on the app. The lobby and center of the hotel isn’t air conditioned (but thanks to that all that gorgeous greenery is able to flourish!) so the check in is warm, and you’re usually tired and cranky by then. And the other tough part was it is big, and we were confused for a while with the elevators and floors and directions, especially since we used a stroller most of the time and it restricted us. But everything was stroller friendly, and easy to maneuver!
The service by the pool was also slow at times. And the bar is far from the kids area, so you have to be on the look out.
We definitely feel like we would go back, and are interested in checking out other locations from the brand as well!
