- JW Marriott Cancun Resort

This luxury hotel is located directly by the beach, in the heart of the hotel zone, with stunning views of Cancun's white sand beaches and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Diverse shopping facilities and entertainment venues are located not far from the hotel. With a great area of flexible meeting space, a business center and the stunning beauty of the Mexican Caribbean at guests' feet, this hotel is the ideal choice for corporate retreats and meetings. The international airport of Cancun is 18 km away.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I don’t know where to begin. This hotel is 11/10 on everything. We love the atmosphere, the exceptional service provided, the food qualify, the pools, etc. Guillermo Canto is the glue of this place. Too many other superb staff to mention.
Another great stay at a great property. Alejandra in guest services and Fabiola in guest services took care of some special things for us to celebrate a birthday. We had a beautiful special cake and stunning flowers as well. Lourdes (Lou Lou) greeted us for breakfast every day and Javier served us on the patio and did a fabulous job. The breakfast buffet here is wonderful and all of the servers are smiling and eager to help. They insist on carrying your plates back to your table and ferrying drinks to you from the buffet as well.
Julio in the outside restaurant could not be more pleasant and was speedy delivering food and cool drinks to our cabana. Javier and William provide stellar service in the cabanas and are always checking on your ice buckets and replenishing it throughout the day and checking in.
My husband and I come here a couple of times a year to relax and this property is the place for that! There are multiple restaurants on site that serve a variety of food, so many that if you don't want to leave the property at all you don't have too!
The pool area is huge and there is usually no need to get up at the crack of dawn and put towels out like you may do at some properties. As a matter of fact, as you approach the pool Javier and William will be at your service to find chairs to your liking, sun or shade and get your towels laid out in perfect order and offer their assistance for anything else you might need. They even have a collection of books discarded by other guests if you want to borrow one and plenty of ice water that is self serve.
This property is perfect for couples or even families as it is beautifully maintained and the people that work here are so kind and eager to make your stay as relaxing as possible. I can't recommend it enough.
We chose this hotel at the last minute while looking for some downtime during our trip to America, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. We stayed for 5 days and had a wonderful experience.
We booked using American Express, which came with a number of added benefits, including access to Club 91 on the 14th floor. This was a real highlight, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with unlimited tea, coffee and alcoholic drinks throughout the day. Although we also enjoyed several other of the hotel's restaurants and the pool bar, Club 91 was perfect when we wanted something quick, relaxed and included.
While a few areas of the hotel are beginning to show their age, our room had been very well refurbished and was very comfortable. The hotel was clearly built with luxury in mind, using high-quality materials, and that sense of quality still shines through.
The staff were exceptional from start to finish—friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. The maid service was daily and the room was always made up while we were out. That's always a nice touch. There is an excellent choice of restaurants, the pool area is spacious and there were always plenty of sunbeds available during our stay. Pool service was excellent, and having direct access to the beach was another bonus.
We visited during seaweed season, and unfortunately there is no escaping the sargassum (seaweed) that affects much of Mexico's Caribbean coastline. It's a real shame. However, the hotel works incredibly hard to clear it each day, and the beach was noticeably better maintained than many others we visited further along the coast.
We also loved the gym and spa, both of which were well equipped and immaculately maintained. There is a shop too where you can buy pizza, water, drinks, snacks, sandwiches, gifts etc. which was another nice thing to have access to. The concierge team was excellent, and it's just a short taxi ride to the Hotel Zone, where you'll find plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. It wasn't really our scene, but it was nice to visit a couple of times and to do some shopping and eat away from the hotel.
Overall, if you're looking for a relaxing, well-run hotel with excellent facilities and outstanding service for a family holiday, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We left with very happy memories and will gladly return if ever we return to Cancun.

Everyone has been so hospitable but Julio R provided the best beachside service. 10/10 would recommend him. He’s patient, kind and honest.
Alfredo was great! Excellent service (: Had a great time & good food
