We were there on our honeymoon and had the worst experience. There was mold on our pillow, in the bathroom and when they gave us 3 other options the rooms were dirty, dirty towels still on the floor, stained pillows and sheets, and mold on the walls/ceilings/vents. Would never recommend this place to anyone, very gross, and very unhealthy. They downgraded our room when we complained and told us to pick the cleanest of the 4 rooms. They tried to bribe us the day we were leaving with a pool cabana “to make it right”. Front desk staff, concierge, and management were rude and not helpful.
Fun family resort
The location, access to beach and closeness to the amenities such as restaurant, pool and rooms made life easy at the resort. The staff waiting on us at the beach were friendly with special shout out to the Cabana / Beach Lounger manager in the preferred section who was also great to deal with in the morning.

Do research, this is a small hotel and it lacks what’s expected of dreams brand hotels.
Nothing at all what I expected of dreams brand resorts, The hotel is small and needs attention from automatic doors, being broken and not opening, elevators taking forever, condensation leaking down walls and dripping onto out table from A/C vents at restaurants and in the lobby. The food was mediocre. There’s constant work going on, patching cracks on the walls. Even if you upgrade to preferred the drinks for mediocre, the restaurants were the worst, literally dirty chairs at every restaurant. I understand nature has its way and there’s nothing anybody can do about it so there was sargassum on the beach and the water wasn’t clear, But that alone should have raised the bar on any entertainment the hotel could’ve brought, pool aerobics/zumba, hotel lobby singers and a DJ in a sports bar is minimal entertainment. The preferred club is small, The preferred pool is small and honestly, I felt like they let anybody into the preferred areas. There was really no one checking who was preferred and who wasn’t all in all I would not return to dream sands.
Great hotel, lovely food, good pools and beach.
Just got back from a week stay here. We loved every minute. The selection of restaurants included is great, the food was all lovely. The drinks were good and a good selection. The coffee shop was a nice extra. We could always get a sun bed whatever time of day. The sea had areas where it was clear to get into without the sea weed and could swim. We walked along the coast and we went on many day trips. We loved Mexico and this hotel was a great base to see it from. Missing it already!

Ok stay!
Rooms were very hot and restaurant staff could have been more hospitable. Bar options could have been better as well. Other than that we had a great stay!
