Taj Exotica Resort and Spa The Palm Dubai

We recently returned to Taj Exotica The Palm, Dubai, for our sixth stay, this time to celebrate my birthday, and somehow they managed to blow us away all over again.

After staying at the same hotel six times, you might think there would be little left to surprise you but Taj Exotica proved us wrong. They made my birthday incredibly special, and that is entirely down to the wonderful people who work there.

The staff are what make this hotel truly unique. Everyone is warm, approachable and genuinely kind. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble. Even when a request isn't straightforward, the answer is never simply “no”, they will always try to find a way to make it happen.

Palm Kitchen – the heart of our stays

If you are ever at Taj Exotica, please make a point of meeting Sarthak at Palm Kitchen. He is an absolute gem and truly represents what exceptional hospitality should be.

Nothing is ever too much trouble for Sarthak. He doesn't simply respond to requests, he anticipates what you might need, remembers the little things and always finds a creative way to make something happen. Most importantly, his kindness feels completely genuine. He makes you feel less like a hotel guest and more like someone being welcomed back home.

Having experienced some of the world's most luxurious hotels, I can honestly say that people like Sarthak are rare. Taj is incredibly lucky to have him, and I sincerely hope his contribution is recognised and celebrated. People like Sarthak are the reason guests don't just return to a hotel, they become loyal to it

And Sarthak is surrounded by an equally wonderful team. A very special thank you and recognition must go to Sudhir, Billion, Noor, Akshada and Ibna, as well as Chef Himanshu, Chef Irfan, Chef Arjun and Chef Jagruti. Every one of them contributed to making our stay so special.

A special mention also has to go to Alex, the restaurant manager. You can tell when someone genuinely cares about the experience their guests are having, and Alex absolutely does. His care and attention filter through the entire restaurant, and it shows in the way the whole team looks after its guests.

A huge part of why we continue to return to Taj is the exceptional care they show our son, who has multiple food allergies. Travelling with a child with specific dietary requirements can sometimes be stressful, but at Taj we have complete confidence in the team.

The chefs at Palm Kitchen are quite simply outstanding. They don't just prepare something “safe” and serve the same limited options every day. They are incredibly creative. From main courses to desserts, they make sure our son has something different to enjoy and never feels as though he is missing out.

Everything he wanted to eat was specially created for him and tailored to both his dietary requirements and his individual tastes. Watching him enjoy his meals without feeling different or restricted means more to us as parents than the team probably realises.

If you are travelling with a child with food allergies or specific dietary requirements, I cannot praise these chefs enough. Chef Himanshu, Chef Irfan, Chef Arjun and Chef Jagruti really are the best of the best. They don't simply accommodate a child, they make sure that child still gets to experience the excitement and pleasure of eating on holiday.

That is something our family will never forget, and it is one of the biggest reasons we keep coming back.

Taj Club – they anticipate what you need before you even ask

We also have to mention the wonderful team at the Taj Club. Ayub, Joseph and Simran— what a team.

Once again, it wasn't simply their professionalism that impressed us, but their thoughtfulness. They catered to our family's specific needs so intuitively that on many occasions we didn't even have to ask. Things were already prepared and ready for our son, with his dietary requirements taken into consideration before we had even thought about it ourselves.

For a parent travelling with a child with multiple food allergies, that level of attention is priceless. It allows you to actually relax. You aren't constantly explaining, checking or worrying because you know there are people around you who genuinely understand and care.

Ayub, Joseph and Simran are some of the kindest people we have ever met, while remaining incredibly professional at all times. There is such warmth and sincerity in the way they look after their guests, and it goes far beyond what you would normally describe as five-star service.

Wellness Circle – where your stress simply melts away

Another absolute highlight of our stay was the Wellness Circle spa.

From the moment you walk through the doors, there is an incredible feeling of calm. You are welcomed by smiling staff, offered a lovely warming tea and taken through the different treatments. A very special thank you to Stella, Shammi and Snovia for their warmth and wonderful hospitality.

And a particularly big thank you to Akum, my therapist, who somehow managed to melt away every knot I had! I walked in carrying what felt like months of tension and walked out feeling completely different.

The therapists are exceptional, but it is the whole Wellness Circle experience that makes the spa so special. The lighting, the beautiful scent, the music and the ambience all work together in a way that makes you feel your stress simply melt away. You walk in carrying the noise of everyday life and, somehow, within minutes everything feels quieter.

And actually, that feeling isn't limited to the spa—it is something we experience throughout Taj Exotica.

There is something different about the way this hotel makes you feel

Dubai is an incredible city, but it can also be busy, energetic and bustling. The moment you walk through the doors of Taj Exotica, it feels as though someone has turned the volume down.

There is something about the lighting, the ambience, the music and even the scent throughout the hotel that feels incredibly calming. It's difficult to explain until you experience it, but there is something about this hotel that just seems to calm your nervous system.

We have stayed at several other luxury hotels on the Palm, but for us, none compares to the sense of tranquillity we experience at Taj. You can step outside and have all the excitement of Dubai waiting for you, but when you return through those doors, you immediately feel yourself switch off again.

If you are looking for somewhere in Dubai where you can genuinely slow down, decompress and escape for a few days, Taj Exotica is very special.

These people deserve to be recognised

We have been fortunate enough to travel extensively and stay in some of the most luxurious hotels around the world, and I can genuinely say that this level of service is rare.

Beautiful hotels are not difficult to find. Beautiful buildings, impressive facilities and luxurious rooms can be replicated. What cannot be replicated so easily are exceptional people—and that is what Taj Exotica has.

Good service is increasingly difficult to find, which is why I feel so strongly that when people consistently go above and beyond, they should be recognised and celebrated.

And this isn't based on one exceptional stay. We have now stayed at Taj Exotica six times. Time and time again, we have experienced this same level of warmth, attention and genuine care.

Sarthak deserves very special recognition, as do Sudhir, Billion, Noor, Akshada, Ibna, Alex, Chef Himanshu, Chef Irfan, Chef Arjun and Chef Jagruti at Palm Kitchen; Ayub, Joseph and Simran at the Taj Club; and Stella, Shammi, Snovia and Akum at Wellness Circle.

I sincerely hope Taj management recognises and celebrates these individuals. They are an enormous asset to the hotel.

These are not simply people doing their jobs well. These are the people who turn a beautiful five-star hotel into somewhere guests develop a genuine emotional connection with. They are the reason guests remember a hotel long after they have checked out and, in our case, they are the reason we continue to return.

Dubai has an extraordinary selection of luxury hotels, including many on the Palm. But after six stays, Taj Exotica continues to be the place where we feel most looked after, most relaxed and most at home.

Thank you for making my birthday so special, for taking such wonderful care of our family and, particularly, for making our son feel that his food allergies never have to mean missing out.

Six stays later, you are still finding ways to surprise us.

And yes—we are already looking forward to number seven.

I hosted a function on September 1st for JK Cement at Taj Exotica, and it turned out to be an absolute success, all thanks to the incredible team there! From the initial coordination to the final execution, everyone supported me tremendously and ensured everything ran seamlessly. I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Diksha, Ms. Madhuri, Ms. Rupsa, Mr. Raj, Mr. Avinash, Mr. Gurvinder, Mr. Tanmoy, Ms. Tin, Mr. Yaju, Mr. Manoj, Mr. Mannu, Mr. Sarthak, Mr. Sarthak (Palm Kitchen), Mr. Rohan, Mr. Shijo, Mr. Balam, Mr. Ayub, and Mr. Shubham for their constant support and great help. I want to give a very special and prominent mention to Ms. Diksha, who did an exceptional job working as my MD's butler, alongside Ms. Madhuri, who did a wonderful job taking care of our VIP guests. Ms. Diksha’s dedication, impeccable service, and extra attention to detail truly stood out and made a huge difference! A special thanks to Chef Abhishek, Chef Himanshu, Chef Ashish, and Chef Vijay Samwal as well, because the food was simply phenomenal! I also want to sincerely thank all the back support staff, including housekeeping, KST, valet, bell boys, and everyone else who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. I sincerely apologize that I don't know all of your individual names, but your hard work did not go unnoticed—everything was kept spotless and ran like clockwork because of you. Everything went wonderfully, everyone was of great help and support, and all my guests were very happy. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were truly remarkable. Bringing this event here was a big decision, but Mr. Gurvinder and Mr. Avinash gave me the complete confidence and assurance that we should host the function here and that everything would go smoothly without any hassle. And they truly delivered on their promise! Coordination and execution can often be stressful, but this entire team handled everything with absolute perfection. I especially want to mention Mr. Manoj and Mr. Mannu; I had complete faith in them because I have seen firsthand how brilliantly they execute functions. True to my belief, they handled everything with absolute perfection during the event. Thank you once again to the amazing crew at Taj Exotica for making our event so special and memorable.
