An Unforgettable Birthday Stay at Lapita, Dubai Parks and Resorts – True 5-Star Hospitality!

We stayed at Lapita, Dubai Parks and Resorts, from 16–18 October to celebrate our son Owen’s 8th birthday, while my mom was visiting us in Dubai. We booked a family getaway, hoping to make some wonderful memories, but what we experienced exceeded every expectation.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was not going to be just another hotel stay. The team at Lapita went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome, valued and genuinely special. We were treated to a family suite upgrade, welcoming messages in our room and beautiful, personalised handwritten birthday cards for Owen. What touched us most was that practically everyone in the hotel knew Owen’s name and took the time to wish him a happy birthday. Seeing how special and important this made him feel was priceless as a parent.

This is what true five-star hospitality looks like. It is not just about beautiful rooms or facilities; it is about people who genuinely care and create memories that last long after checkout.

Mr Jatinder – General Manager

A huge thank you to Mr Jatinder, whose personal involvement made such a difference to our experience. He ensured that the team went above and beyond the already high expectations of a five-star resort. From arranging our room upgrade and personalised birthday treatment to facilitating a late checkout, he made sure that our family was exceptionally well looked after.

His leadership clearly reflects in the culture of the hotel and the way the staff treat their guests. It is easy to see why the team delivers such a memorable experience when the general manager leads by example. Thank you, Mr Jatinder, for making our stay so special.

Ms Rea – Personal Assistant to the General Manager

Rea deserves an enormous amount of recognition. Honestly, she felt like my own personal assistant throughout the entire trip! From the days leading up to our arrival, she was always just a message away, responding promptly, anticipating our needs and making sure everything was taken care of.

She ensured that our room was ready on arrival, helped us with dining recommendations and assisted with arranging our late checkout. Her professionalism, warmth and willingness to help made everything feel effortless. Rea is an absolute star and a wonderful ambassador for Lapita.

Mr Sanjeez – Chef at Kalea Restaurant

A special thank you to Chef Sanjeez at Kalea for taking the time to personally walk me through the buffet and introduce me to the different food options. His knowledge, friendliness and willingness to make sure we understood what was available made the dining experience even better. It was a lovely personal touch that demonstrated how much the team cares about its guests.

Ms May – Hikina Restaurant

May was an absolute pleasure! She served us with such a warm smile, a wonderful sense of humour and genuine kindness. She made our family laugh throughout dinner and helped create the relaxed, happy atmosphere that made our evening so enjoyable. Thank you, May, for making us feel so welcome and for being such a lovely part of Owen’s birthday celebration.

Ms Amanda – Restaurant Manager at Hikina

Amanda deserves a special mention because she is genuinely world-class.

We have visited many restaurants across the UAE, but we have rarely encountered a restaurant manager who combines such exceptional passion, knowledge, attention to detail and genuine care for her guests. Amanda personally came to our table with every meal served to ensure everything was perfect. She did not simply supervise the experience; she was personally invested in making sure our family had an unforgettable evening.

The team at Hikina went far beyond a normal dining experience for Owen. They prepared customised drinks and even created a special personalised menu for our family that was not part of the regular menu. Then came one of the highlights of the evening: a surprise dessert experience where Owen got to take part in a mysterious ice cream tasting game to win a prize!

The excitement on his face and the laughter around the table made the evening truly memorable. Amanda’s creativity, leadership and attention to detail transformed dinner into a birthday experience we will always remember.

Amanda is an absolute diamond, and Lapita should do everything possible to recognise and retain people like her. Employees with this level of passion and commitment are incredibly valuable, and she is a tremendous asset to the hotel.

Our Experience at Lapita

The family suite, the personalised birthday touches, the excellent dining experiences at Kalea and Hikina, and the warmth of the entire team all contributed to a fantastic stay. Most importantly, the staff made Owen feel celebrated, recognised and special throughout our visit.

We travelled to Lapita expecting a lovely family break. We left with beautiful memories, a very happy eight-year-old and a genuine appreciation for the people who made it all happen.

To Mr Jatinder, Ms Rea, Chef Sanjeez, May, Amanda and every member of the Lapita team who contributed behind the scenes: thank you for making Owen’s 8th birthday so special.

Management should be incredibly proud of this team. They are a credit to the hotel and a wonderful example of what genuine five-star service should be.
