W Abu Dhabi Yas Island

My stay at W Abu Dhabi was overall good and enjoyable. The hotel itself is beautiful, and I would especially like to commend the reception team for their professionalism and warm hospitality. A special thanks also goes to the concierge, Shiva, who was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and always willing to assist.

The biggest disappointment during my stay was the service at the Garage breakfast restaurant. While the breakfast selection itself was decent, it was nothing particularly memorable. What really affected the experience was the inconsistency in service. There seemed to be two different service teams. One team was outstanding—attentive, hardworking, friendly, and always ready to help, making breakfast a pleasant experience.

Unfortunately, the team that usually worked in the section where I was seated did not provide the same level of service. They often left their stations unattended, were not attentive to guests, and I frequently had to clear my own table. More importantly, they lacked professionalism in the way they interacted with guests and managed their responsibilities. They appeared disengaged, unmotivated, and not particularly welcoming. In particular, an employee named Rashad consistently gave this impression. I sincerely hope the management will address this issue and provide additional guidance and training so that every guest receives the same high standard of service, regardless of where they are seated.

One additional point I would like to mention is that I do not feel the rooms are particularly family-friendly for guests traveling with young children. The flooring is entirely hard tile rather than carpet, and much of the furniture has large, hard edges. While the room design is stylish and modern, it may not be the most practical or safest choice for families with small children.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay and truly appreciate the excellent service provided by the reception team, Shiva, and the outstanding members of the Garage breakfast team. With improvements to the breakfast service, more consistent staff performance, and a little more consideration for families with young children, this hotel could offer an exceptional experience.

Always go there to the salon and to enjoy the food outlets. Great place. Car always taken cared of by the lovely valet guys, Himayat is doing a great job every time.
