Radisson Blu Hotel and Resort Abu Dhabi Corniche

Great location. Atmosphere friendly safe family one. Just another hotel room, clean and well serviced but moved rooms due to AC fans noise & chair noise thro floor. Needs sound floating floors. New room quiet but poor maintenance w items not working ie. Mobile charge sockets, bidet waste broken, fridge cabinet door, etc. But fixed everything right away! Designated smoking vaping shisha areas needed by pools. Music repetitive/loud by pools. Service staff all 5/5 very good & friendly. Expensive food n drinks against Australian $.

A lovely resort in a great location, but the rooms and a few aspects of the experience let it down.

The Radisson Blu Resort is situated in a fantastic location along the Corniche, which is a lovely, peaceful area of Abu Dhabi. The resort itself has plenty going for it, including three swimming pools, bars, a good gym and a lovely beachfront area with a strip of shops and restaurants, which we enjoyed exploring on scooters.

The breakfast was very good, the restaurants were decent and reasonably priced, and the staff were generally friendly, helpful and accommodating. I particularly appreciated how quiet and relaxing the resort felt, which made it a great place to unwind as a family.

Unfortunately, the rooms were a disappointment. Our original room felt quite small, and even after being upgraded, there wasn’t a significant improvement in space. The temporary bed provided for my son was extremely hard and uncomfortable, while the pillows were far too small and soft for our liking. These things might seem minor, but a comfortable night’s sleep is a basic expectation, particularly at a resort of this standard.

One experience that also left a slightly sour taste came on the day of checkout. A member of staff kindly offered to collect us from Yas Island, where we were spending the day, and take us to Dubai. Initially, I thought this was a thoughtful gesture. However, he then quoted an excessive price and began negotiating when we questioned it. We travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai regularly, so we are familiar with the usual transport costs and politely declined. I found the experience disappointing, as it felt like an attempt to take advantage of tourists who might be unfamiliar with local prices. It was unnecessary and took away from what had otherwise been a positive impression of the staff.

On a much more positive note, a special mention has to go to the beautiful resident cat! She was incredibly sweet, affectionate and clearly very comfortable around guests. She became a lovely little part of our stay, and we were genuinely sad to say goodbye to her.

Would I stay here again? I’m genuinely undecided.

There is a lot to like about this resort. The location is excellent, the facilities are good, the atmosphere is peaceful, and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time around the pools and exploring the surrounding area. However, the room comfort and overall accommodation experience fell short of expectations.

It’s certainly not a bad resort, and I wouldn’t discourage others from staying here. With better room arrangements and a little more attention to guest comfort, it could be an excellent choice. For us, it was an enjoyable stay overall, just one that could have been considerably better.
