Beautiful property with greenery and backwaters. Rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. Had an amazing stay
Excellent and wonderful location with good views
Very good ambience for a family stay in a peaceful atmosphere . The entire amenities within this property has a peaceful traditional touch every where. The food has nothing to compramise. We have been served by Mr. Manoj whose is so courteous and ensured us to be very comfortable and presented the best culinary. Worth for a family stay and get anyone to be rejuvunated.
Very neat for the room.iam satisfied this hotel staff manoj (hotel buffet ). He kind and he serving is very good
All in all a pretty good stay. We were long time dwellers here -13 nights. It is a good hotel and there are some great qualities. The housekeeping in the rooms is of an outstanding quality and we would particularly like to commend Jagan & Bahathosh for all of their service and care throughout our stay. Room was always impeccably clean and attention to detail fantastic! In other areas you have to keep in mind this is Indian 5* so not of the standard of Vietnam, Malaysia and other South Asian standards. The restaurant food overall is good, breakfast is varied but all the hot plates are left open so food invariably gets cold, they do though have an egg chef and fresh dosa which are made to order and lovely. Often tables not laid before you get there etc. But portions very generous and al a carte food pretty good to be fair. Pool itself is nice and has wonderful views of the backwater. There is no pool service to speak of and they could improve this area immensely by washing down the very good quality furniture now and again. Found a local Tuk Tuk driver whom we can highly recommend …Sel can be reached on WhatsApp +91 94967 37179 he .will pick up from the hotel and take and wait whilst you go off shopping, to restaurants etc. Great prices and need transport to get out and about here as it’s a good distance away from anywhere. Location is really nice, peaceful and great view of the backwaters. Lots of interesting wildlife and residents, turkeys, emu’s ducks and geese roam the grounds. Also rabbits and parrots 🦜. Great little cafe/restaurant called Borma which can be reached by tuk tuk for 150-200 rupees and offer a wide selection of freshly cooked cakes, pastries etc., alongside a really good breakfast selection. Nest of all a barista coffe machine!Fabulous little restaurant that will cook everything to order called Sea’s salt, unbelievable quality food and service at bargain prices. Sel (Tuk tuk driver) can take you there. We had fresh prawns, some local small fried fish, cooked bananas and lentil balls all for 400 rupees including 2 delicious mocktails. For proper authentic, plentiful and cheap Indian fare try Halais, Bare in mind most restaurants do not serve alcohol - including Uday. Again your tuk tuk driver can take you to the alcohol shop if you want to purchase beer, wine etc. There are also a few bars around Aluppuzha. Uday have no problem with you storing in your fridge and consuming on your lakeside view balcony. Spa is ok value for a resort, if you request from reception you will be able to get 15% off treatments, but I’d you call the Spa direct you will not get this. Masseurs are pretty good at what they do. Overall, a really nice relaxing place to stay!
