This 5-star beachside hotel at Wadduwa on Sri Lanka's west coast, south of Colombo, has a sublime setting in extensive palm-shaded grounds which lead directly onto a lovely beach. Providing a wonderful setting for a relaxing holiday it is an excellent base for exploration of the island's interior, nature reserves and game parks.

Great Location!
The location is amaaazing, spacious hotel with a big open areas besides the beach front. The rooms are great with great balcony view but i was expecting a more modern rooms but it's okay it's not bad. The food is okay as i was expecting more options but it's fine and delicious if you eat everything and shoutout to Mr. Aruna the waiter at the buffet he was really helpful and made us a traditional Yardi chai introducing a Srilankan tea to us which really appreciate in the staff.
So generally amazing stay experience.

We loved it here. I have brought my school kings college Auckland to Sri Lanka and stayed 3 nights. All the boys had a great time and specifically Uditha provided amzing service to our group. Great service.

Beautiful Oceanfront Setting with Exceptional Staff and Room for Improvement
We visited Blue Water Resort in Wadduwa as a family of five adults to attend the wedding of Anah and Tharun, and it was a memorable experience.
The hotel is set in a stunning location overlooking the Indian Ocean. The beautiful lawns lead directly to the beach, surrounded by palm trees and filled with the relaxing sound of birds. It's a peaceful and picturesque setting that truly showcases the beauty of Sri Lanka.
The hotel has a lovely layout, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. However, they are starting to show their age and would benefit from some maintenance. We also felt that the room cleaning could be improved, and the bed linen was quite basic and looked well-used.
What really made our stay special was the staff. Every member of the team greeted us with a warm smile and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Their kindness and hospitality were exceptional and left a lasting impression.
Although our wedding schedule was very busy, so we didn't have much time to enjoy all the facilities, the pool area looked beautiful and very inviting.
The food was fair, but it lacked variety. During our three full days at the resort, the menu remained almost the same, so a wider selection would have made the dining experience more enjoyable.
Overall, despite a few areas that could be improved, we had a wonderful stay. The breathtaking location and the outstanding hospitality more than made up for the shortcomings. We would love to return one day, spend more time exploring Sri Lanka, and enjoy this special place at a more relaxed pace.

Come for the view, not the food.
Food was quite bad. Prawn in the Nasi goreng was very smelly. Rice it self was just soy sauce, carrot, egg and rice. For the price not worth it. Even the steak Tuna panini was just okay. Service was not bad. View and the location is always one of the best in Sri Lanka. I hope the quality of food improves.
