An amazing restaurant with friendly staff,,, Sheriff, Lasantha and Ajith were very cooperative and provided an excellent service. Would definitely recommend anyone to be here.

Wonderful stay in Colombo
Our experience at the Lakeside was fabulous. It is central to many areas. You could probably walk to some of the places but we took car service or tuktuk (Be careful of overcharge). The hotel is beautifully decorated, large lobby area with a bar and areas to sit. We had dinner there once. In the evenings there were musicians and singers. The restaurant options were all good and had nice vibes. Some required reservation. We especially enjoyed our breakfasts; I don't eat spicy food at all so appreciated all the stations including one for egg hoppers. We had the best papayas there. The room was comfortable. The pool area and grounds were beautiful and nicely maintained. Unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy a day relaxing by the pool. We did, however, enjoyed a drink at the bar next to the pool. Staff were friendly and professional. We were well taken cared of. We were there for a convention and the hotel was packed. As such, there were times we did have to wait on line for some services. The hotel also has a cafe and a little store which we did purchase some souvenirs. The only negative comment we have and we shared with management was that our elevator/room access card deactivated several times. We would definitely recommend staying at the Lakeside.
