Buyer Beware
We made this reservation yesterday. Before making the reservation we called Global reservations to find out about the flexi stay. Spoke to five people, three of whom just put me on hold and disconnected, it took the fifth person to confirm the terms of the flexi stay.
We arrived at the hotel went for drinks and came back to the room and ordered room service at midnight. We didn’t receive our food till 2am.
When we checked in, the reception confirmed what we already knew, we are entitled to breakfast, high tea and cocktails. We called down to reception before drinks to confirm that we are entitled to breakfast and that we are able to order from the room service menu. The food arrives and we’re told to pay. When I call down to the front desk, we’re told that we do owe money and that we only booked on only room basis. This all took 45 minutes to sort out. My hoppers were soggy, my tea was cold and worst of all I woke up on the last day of my stay in Sri Lanka to this annoyance.
Then the guest service manager (Anjana) calls (because I wanted a call back from them) and he offers me a late check out at 6pm. He didn’t even bother to check what my reservation was. Had he checked, he would’ve known I had a flexi stay and I was checking out at 9pm.
We go out for a short while, we come back and we are locked out of the room.
This is all since 9pm yesterday. I’m not sure what else awaits the final few hours of my stay at this hotel.

Dosa and parata
We were at chutneys and food was excellent. Staff was so nice and we were served with Judiya was so polite and nice.

Cinnamon Buffet
Yohan was an exceptional server and treated our table of 13 with a very humble and sincere attitude throughout. The Cinnamon our lucky to have him and we will be back again soon.
