An Unforgettable Luxury Stay
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Fortress Resort & Spa. This is truly a luxury hotel in every sense. The food was outstanding—every meal was delicious, with a great variety and excellent quality.
The location is breathtaking. The sea view is simply amazing, and it almost feels as if you are living in the ocean. One of the most memorable experiences was watching the sea turtles. They come close to the hotel around 10:00 a.m. and stay for about an hour, which was a truly unique and unforgettable sight.
The rooms are spacious, modern, and beautifully maintained. Everything in the room is of high quality, with premium branded amenities that add to the luxurious experience.
What made our stay even more special was the exceptional hospitality. Every member of the staff was warm, friendly, and attentive. We would especially like to thank General Manager Mr. Amith and his entire team for their outstanding service and genuine care. It is easy to understand why he has such a strong reputation in the tourism industry. We would also like to extend our appreciation to Mr. Madush, Assistant Front Office Manager, who was incredibly helpful, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay.
Overall, Fortress Resort & Spa exceeded all our expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway, and in my opinion, it is one of the best honeymoon hotels in Sri Lanka's southern coast. We can't wait to visit again!
Super Sri Lankan sushi and teppanyaki
Sushi and Teppanyaki restaurant was great. Super friendly and attentive staff, fab food and fun evening.

Wonderful place. Very peaceful atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Particularly Mr Dimuthu who was at the restaurant and Mr Laksiri who was the pool attendant who has been extremely helpful.
Really nice comfortable spacious rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to another visit soon.

Overall hotel experience
Fabulous hotel and location. Very luxurious. Great facilities. I will be bringing my husband and daughter back here. It’s lovely and quiet. A great place to de-stress. Pools are dreamy too. The sea is almost next to our ground floor room! Continual sound of waves crashing onto beach. There is a gorgeous breeze here that keeps insects away. Truly amazing staff. They couldn’t do enough to help. All one needs to do is ask and they are there to help. However ridiculous the request might be! Food is delicious. Rooms are large and airy. Superb air con! I want to thank all the staff here. There is Ms Gotham, Dilini, Chamindi and Yashmitha to name but a few. Too many on this blog to name. The both hotel managers I met and all the reception staff are exemplary and empathetic to one’s needs. I also want to say thank you to Janaka ( Janaka Tours) and his father Nanda ( tuk tuk opposite the hotel). They have been truly kind and very supportive when my 87 year mother cut her leg and needed to stay overnight in hospital. They helped me overcome some of the language barriers, headed us to the right places and Janaka stayed in the hospital with us until we knew what was going to happen. Above and beyond. The hotel staff were so calm and caring helping us with a very stressful situation. Without everyone I would not have been able to cope as well as I did dealing with surgeons and doctors. They also kept me supplied with Pina Coladas! They would just turn up to my table just at the perfect moment! The Spa therapists, Manel ( female) and Himal (male) are deeply knowledgeable in Ayurvedic Therapies. This has kept me going! I would highly recommend a treatment with them. Nothing more I can say. Come and experience it for yourselves.

The service is really good, staff is incredibly sweet. Dimuthu was very cooperative and helped us in curating veg food out of the menu.
