A Weekend Well Spent at Riff Hikkaduwa
Had an amazing weekend stay at Riff Hikkaduwa Resort. To start off, the moment we entered the resort we were greeted by Tharushi reception and her smiling face made us feel so welcome. She checked us in promptly and was so happy to have us which goes along way when you’re travelling. We appreciate the warm welcome tremendously because first impressions do matter. Raymond the General Manager ensured that we were comfortable during our stay. We could tell he had a passion for his work and ensuring his guest had the best comfortable weekend. Food at Riff was AMAZING. Executive chef Lahiru - you sir are a genius. Every meal we had was wonderful. Fresh, vibrant flavors, and meticulous presentation. You could tell he put his heart into his cooking. Overall we had a wonderful weekend thanks to the staff and their amazing service. We will definitely be back!

Exceptional. Highly recommended We had a wonderful time at Riff, and the location was perfect. All of the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always greeted us with a smile. Everything we needed was provided promptly and on time. The rooms were very comfortable.
Thank you all for everything you made our experience truly memorable. I would happily recommend Riff to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Stylish Beachfront Hotel with Amazing Ocean Views
Riff Hikkaduwa was a fantastic place to stay. The rooms were modern, spacious, and offered beautiful views of the Indian Ocean. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the beachfront location was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunset.

Title: A Luxurious Beachfront Escape to End Our Sri Lanka Adventure
We chose Riff Hikkaduwa as the final stop of our two-week family journey around Sri Lanka, and it was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and finish an incredible trip. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were somewhere special.
The hotel’s design and beachfront location are absolutely stunning. Walking into the lobby, you are immediately greeted by a beautiful modern wooden aesthetic, before your eyes are drawn through to the breathtaking view of the infinity pool overlooking the beach and turquoise ocean beyond. It truly creates that instant feeling of luxury and tranquillity.
Our deluxe room was exceptional. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the rainfall shower was amazing, and the thoughtful touches of robes and slippers added to the experience. However, the highlight was opening the automatic blinds each morning to reveal the spectacular ocean view — endless blue water, golden sand, and the sound of the waves right outside.
The facilities and food throughout the hotel were outstanding. The rooftop Japanese restaurant served beautifully presented, fresh and flavourful dishes, while the main restaurant offered an excellent breakfast and daily menu with every meal being high quality and delicious.
What truly made our stay memorable was the staff. Every single person we interacted with — from the front desk team to the restaurant staff and especially our wonderful pool lifeguard — provided genuine, attentive service. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure every guest felt welcomed, comfortable, and cared for.
The beach location is incredible. We enjoyed walking along the coastline to Turtle Beach, where we were lucky enough to see turtles and even baby sharks in the water. Unfortunately, due to visiting during the monsoon season, the ocean conditions meant we couldn’t swim because of the stronger currents and waves. However, this didn’t take away from the experience at all — if anything, it gave us another reason to return and experience this beautiful place during calmer conditions.
A huge thank you to the entire team at Riff Hikkaduwa for making our final days in Sri Lanka so special. It was the perfect combination of luxury, relaxation, incredible views, and warm Sri Lankan hospitality. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable beachfront escape.
