Hotel Riu Sri Lanka

This was our first visit to Sri Lanka, we had an amazing stay at the Riu Sri Lanka and we will be back. What made it so special is the team that work there, every department works with a smile, friendly helpful, they all work incredibly hard. Here are a few we would like to mention- Sajith ( Sri Lankan Mr Benn he pops up everywhere) you will find him in the lobby, around the pool and in the restaurant area, if you need any help he's your man, I asked if we could have some Coke Zero in our bar fridge, organised it straight away. My wife has a chilli allergy and was worried when we were booked in the Asian Restaurant, Sajith called through to the restaurant and explained and when we arrived at the restaurant , he was there informing the restaurant manager Malinda As for Malinda, a truly professional, took my wife's allergy very seriously and got the Head Chef to come to our table to ask my wife what she could have and got his team to make her a special fried rice which she loved. Every Ala Carte restaurant we booked Melinda was there, he personally took our orders and ensured that the dish was made with care and attention. Roshan in the buffet restaurant, a warm smile, always asked us how our day had been Marshall in the restaurant also ensured the welfare of my wife to ensure no chilli in her food In the Nawara bar a special mention for Ishan, every time we walked in he would say a beer and sparkling wine, take a seat. The House Band - very talented young musicians who every night put on a great set, our highlight was The Garden Party, it was our wedding anniversary, I asked them if they could play Ed Sheeran- Perfect, it was beautiful, my wife Sarah was shocked as we don't dance slow songs, but made a memory for life ❤️. The Entertainment Team - Wow Wow Wow what an amazing bunch. They work their socks off. Every night they put on an outstanding show, special mention to Bawantha and Shaveena both super talented. All the team at Riu Sri Lanka made our holiday and is definitely one of the best holidays, we will be back.

I recently stayed at Riu Ahungalla and I had a wonderful time there. They featured a fantastic variety of incredible food making every meal a delight. Myself and my family thoroughly enjoyed the pool area, well maintained and a perfect spot to unwind. The direct beach access made it easy to step in to the sand and enjoy the pristine beach too. A special thanks to Dinesh and the impeccable housekeeping team; they kept our rooms spotless throughout our visit. Thank you for the incredible towel origami! My kids absolutely loved returning to the room each day to find the creative towel origami surprises on the beds. Not forgetting to mention Kaushal, for running such a top-notch operation. It is clear that the team operates with the highest standards of hospitality. Thank you to the entire team at Riu for making my family's stay comfortable and memorable. I highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return.
