Attentive Staff
The waiters Reedo and Kumar were so attentive and friendly, they looked after us so well, it really made our stay fantastic.
Lux doesn't just mean luxury — Lux Grand Gaube lives and breathes it.
We stayed at Lux* Grand Gaube from 3rd to 12th July to celebrate my best friend's birthday and what an unforgettable experience it turned out to be.
From the moment we arrived at the gates, we knew this wasn't going to be an ordinary holiday. The guards and security team welcomed us with genuine smiles every single day, whether we were heading out for an excursion or returning to the resort. Those small interactions set the tone for the entire stay.
Driving into the property is an experience in itself, with breathtaking scenery, beautifully maintained gardens and incredible views in every direction.
We were welcomed with drinks upon arrival and were shown around the resort by Katty, whose beautiful smile and warm personality immediately made us feel at home.
The standout person throughout our stay was undoubtedly Resort Manager Giani. Quite honestly, he felt like the Messiah of the resort — you thought about him and somehow he appeared! In all my years of travelling, I have never encountered a manager so visible, approachable and genuinely hands-on. Whether it was arranging transport, resolving queries or extending our all-inclusive package on our final day due to our late airport transfer, he made everything effortless.
Tisha deserves a special mention for our morning coffees. By our second morning she already knew our order: one caramel latte with oat milk and one caramel latte with regular milk. It was these thoughtful touches that elevated our experience.
Homesh was simply outstanding. Taxis, recommendations, assistance, reassurance — whatever we needed, he made sure it happened. He genuinely cared that we were comfortable, safe and enjoying ourselves.
On the beach, Reedoo looked after us brilliantly. Fresh towels, cold water, cocktails and sunbeds always seemed to appear exactly when we needed them.
Adrien was the heart of the entertainment team. Whether leading aqua aerobics during the day or hosting the evening activities, he created an incredible atmosphere and made everyone feel involved. True Gem!
The food and beverage teams were exceptional. Thank you to Munish, Kavish and Nirvaan, John and Koushal for your amazing service and wonderful cocktails, especially Khevish at Pisco Bar who consistently looked after us so well.
Durgesh at Bodrum Blue made our Turkish dining experience a memorable one and Mr Singh in the buffet restaurant prepared us beautiful chicken curries to our taste on two separate occasions.
Finally, thank you to Kamal for keeping our room immaculate throughout our stay. The room was always perfectly stocked and maintained, and for my friend's birthday he decorated our room with balloons, flower petals and a beautiful birthday display. We also loved the towel animals that greeted us after housekeeping visits.
What made this holiday so special wasn't just the facilities or the location, it was the people.
Leaving the resort was genuinely emotional because in such a short period of time the team made us feel like family. It felt like we were leaving our home rather than checking out of a hotel.
To anyone considering Mauritius, my advice is simple: if you're going to stay anywhere, stay at Lux* Grand Gaube.
You won't regret it.

Beautiful time away
I had a wonderful solo stay at LUX* Grand Gaube and would happily return in the future.
The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning surroundings and plenty to do whether you want to relax by the water, enjoy the activities on offer, or stay active during your stay. My room, 2059, had an incredible view and was the perfect place to unwind each day.
What truly made this stay special, however, was the people. Every member of staff I encountered was warm, welcoming and genuinely seemed to care about creating a memorable experience for guests. From the gym team to the water sports staff and reception team, so many people went out of their way to help and make me feel at home as a solo traveller.
I did experience a small issue during my stay, but I was incredibly appreciative of how it was handled. The Housekeeping Manager took the time to personally assist in resolving the matter and went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable and cared for, even surprising me with a thoughtful gift afterwards. That level of service speaks volumes about the team’s commitment to their guests.
There are far too many wonderful staff members to mention individually, but I would especially like to thank John, Devin and Rishki from hospitality, and Praresh and Sheberri from housekeeping. Thank you for your kindness, generosity and for going above and beyond throughout my stay. Your service was genuine, selfless and deeply appreciated.

Paradise
Wow what a wonderful hotel , the staff are amazing those that deserve a mention, Aleana, davish, chavvi, sasha, khavish, pedro. All do a wonderful job and are very attentive. The hotel is spotless , food is amazing . The coffee shop is a great extra. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary and I must say they went over board helping us .

An absolute paradise
I could not give this hotel a more glowing review. Over the years I have been to various resorts all over the world but Lux Grand Gaube has far exceeded any of my expectations.
Id like to start with the reception staff, Katty and Homesh. Kattys bright smile and shining personality from the moment we walked in made us feel beyond welcome. Homesh, our concierge nothing was ever too much. From car hire to restaurant bookings, he always went above and beyond, a huge thank you.
Secondly, bar and restaurant staff; Kavish, Khevish, Nirvaan, Munish, Koushal, Ashwan, Durgesh, Tisha, Sita and John to name a few. All these colleagues have gone out of their way to provide exceptional service. Their kindness has not gone unnoticed as well as their delicious servings in which we did not even have to ask, they learnt our likes and created something special every time.
Reedoo on the beach, coming to clean our sunglasses, offer drinks. Thank you so much, your kindness and laid back attitude has made us feel so at home.
Adrien, keeping the vibes high as the entertainment, you certainly did this and ensured we were all having an amazing time. There isn’t anyone better suited to being an entertainer at LGG than you.
Kamal our house keeper, from his beautiful towel animals on our bed to special birthday decor for me, it was always a pleasure having lovely chats with you.
Last but not least, Giani the resort manager, what an amazing resort he runs. From his consistent visibility to the way he solves any problems from big to small has not gone unrecognised. His service sets an amazing example to all his staff and we were so pleased to be able to meet him and all the other members of staff who made this resort exactly what it is.
If anyone has the chance to stay at this resort, I would not think twice. I know I’ll be back.
