A wonderful and serene stay
Our stay at The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa was truly wonderful and serene. Beautiful ocean views, a peaceful ambience, a lovely room and warm hospitality made our experience truly memorable. A perfect escape to relax, unwind and rejuvenate. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special. A little piece of paradise in Mauritius! 🌴✨
A Wonderful Stay at The Westin Turtle Bay – Exceptional Staff and Hospitality!
We’ve had a wonderful stay at The Westin Turtle Bay, and what really made our holiday special was the exceptional hospitality of so many members of staff. There are several people who deserve individual recognition, as they genuinely went above and beyond.
Housekeeping – Rozia
Our room was beautifully looked after by Rozia, who was absolutely fantastic. Everything was spotless, and her attention to detail was exceptional. She even took the time to carefully organise all my toiletries and products, and we loved returning to the room to find her beautiful towel creations. Such thoughtful little touches really made a difference.
Poolside – Rajeev & Yeshna
We were lucky enough to have Rajeev looking after us around the pool. Always smiling, friendly and genuinely welcoming, he would regularly spot us around the resort and call over to say hello. On our first day, he even phoned ahead to the beach bar, spoke to the chef and helped arrange a delicious lunch based on his recommendations. A fantastic first impression!
Yeshna, who served drinks around the pool, was also lovely and helped make our relaxing days even more enjoyable.
Beach Bar – Pradeep & Chef Yanish
Pradeep deserves a special mention for his fantastic hospitality. We were always greeted with such warmth, he ensured we had a wonderful table and regularly liaised with the chef to arrange special dishes off the menu. Nothing was too much trouble, and he really made us feel valued.
A huge thank you also to Chef Yanish, who prepared nearly all our meals at the beach bar. His food was absolutely delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful dishes he created for us.
And those rum-laced desserts… let’s just say Yanish certainly wasn’t shy with the rum! We weren’t complaining though! 😂
Together, Pradeep and Yanish made the beach bar one of our favourite places to dine.
Kangan Restaurant – Outstanding Food
We enjoyed two excellent evenings at Kangan, and the chef really made both visits memorable.
Our second meal was particularly special, as he prepared a selection of dishes of his own choosing. We were genuinely blown away by the flavours and presentation. He had remembered how much we enjoyed the salmon elsewhere in the hotel and incorporated it into one of his Indian-inspired creations. Such a thoughtful gesture and absolutely delicious.
Buffet Restaurant – Deven
Deven deserves a mention for making us feel so welcome during one of our buffet dinners. His friendly manner and hospitality were greatly appreciated.
Spa – Pritti & Mary
We treated ourselves to massages at the spa, and both Pritti and Mary were superb. Professional, attentive and exceptionally good at what they do. A wonderfully relaxing experience.
A Few Areas for Improvement
Although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, there were a few minor things worth mentioning.
The chairs on our balcony weren’t particularly comfortable, which was a shame, as it would have been lovely to spend more time relaxing out there.
At breakfast, coffee was served in pots, but unfortunately it wasn’t always particularly hot. On a couple of occasions, we asked for it to be replaced.
Our teppanyaki evening was also slightly disappointing compared with other sessions we had watched during our stay. The experience lacked some of the theatre and atmosphere we’d anticipated, although this may have been influenced by the younger children present at our sitting. We also felt the dishes could have had a little more flavour, and some of the fish was slightly overcooked.
These were relatively minor points in what was otherwise a very enjoyable stay.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make our stay so special, particularly those we’ve mentioned by name. You are a real credit to the hotel, and we will remember your kindness long after we’ve returned home.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Exceptional Stay at The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa - Balaclava
We had a wonderful stay at The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa. The beautiful location, comfortable rooms, excellent cleanliness, peaceful atmosphere, and outstanding facilities made our experience truly memorable. The food was absolutely delicious, with compliments to the chefs and culinary team.
A special thanks to Mr. Jameel Joomun for his warm welcome, kindness, and exceptional hospitality. My sincere appreciation also goes to the Kids Club team, the restaurant staff for their friendly and attentive service, and the buggy service team for their helpfulness and courtesy.
Every team member contributed to making us feel welcomed, valued, and well cared for. The genuine hospitality and thoughtful gestures made all the difference.
Thank you for giving us such beautiful memories. We highly recommend this resort and look forward to returning! ❤️
Amazing 10 night stay!!
Had an absolutely amazing time, from the moment we arrived to the sound of a gong at the entrance, to the moment we left for the airport. The location of the hotel is idyllic for a quiet getaway, but not too from other parts of the island to visit, which is a must, it's a beautiful place. The atmosphere at the hotel is relaxed/chilled and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They were so helpful in their support & guidance throughout our stay and there are so many of them that deserve a mention, so to name but a few: Avinash, Damien & Amy, Renoo, Soonita, Kamini, Adam, Aartee, Roshan, Tegan were all amazing and of course so was our wonderful taxi driver Vinod who took us around a lot of the island. And I must mention what the staff did for my wife to help her celebrate her 60th Birthday, it was nothing short of amazing!!!!! Our room, 1210, was superb, with a huge balcony/seating area and view across the bay and was kept spotlessly clean by Kamini and her team. All necessary requirements/needs were catered for within the room. The food at all of the 5 restaurants was amazing, there are certainly some very talented Chefs there 😋 I think for the time of year the value was excellent for a 5* hotel.

Excellent - I'm going back
I spent 4 nights all inclusive at The Westin - the final hotel of 3 that my daughter and I stayed at during our 2 weeks in Mauritius. We definitely saved the best til last! We wanted a quiet, healthy, luxurious holiday and it delivered on everything. The room was spacious and well stocked with everything you could need with regular room service. The whole resort was clean and every member of the staff was polite, courteous and eager to help. The food was exceptional with lots of choice (we tried all the restaurants - asian, curry, grill, buffet). The holiday was not cheap but I came away feeling we really did get value for money on quality and experience. I'm hoping to go back next year for a more explorative visit of Mauritius so will be able to comment more on location.
