It is located 55 kms from Sir Seewoosagur International Airport of Mauritius and only 15 kms from the island's hub, Grand Baie, known for its shopping, restaurants, bars, and nightlife. This hotel stands at the edge of 1,000 metres of sparkling ivory sands on the north-west coast of Mauritius, in the bay of Pointe Aux Piments of the Indian Ocean. Lush gardens create the perfect atmosphere for a romantic getaway. The hotel's 265 spacious deluxe rooms located in the main building offer views over the tropical garden, which leads to the beach and the Indian Ocean. Beyond simple relaxation afforded by the sand and sea, the hotel offers several games, different sport activities and excursions that range from glass-bottom boat tours to snorkelling and scuba diving.

Our Royal Escape in Mauritius
everything was exceptional, the beautiful property, the breathtaking surroundings, the wonderful evening events, and most importantly, the warmth and hospitality of the entire team.
One of the biggest highlights was the unexpected upgrade to the Royal Suite. It was absolutely beautiful and made our stay even more special. The attention to detail, comfort, and overall experience made it feel like a truly memorable getaway.
A very special thank you to Nisha and Sachin, who went above and beyond to make our trip perfect. Their support was not limited to the hotel, they helped us plan our entire itinerary, including the events happening at the property, countryside visits, transportation, and places to explore in Mauritius. Their recommendations and personal attention made it so much easier for us to enjoy the country without having to worry about the details.
The evening events at the resort were another highlight and added a wonderful atmosphere to our stay. There was always something to look forward to, and the combination of the beautiful location, activities, food, and hospitality made the experience truly special.
What stood out most was that the staff genuinely cared about making our stay memorable. It wasn't just excellent service, it felt personal and heartfelt.
A huge thank you to the entire Le Méridien Mauritius team, and especially to Nisha and Sachin, for making our Mauritius holiday one that we will remember for a very long time.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a beautiful resort, exceptional hospitality, and a truly memorable Mauritius experience. We would happily come back again!
Not booking any Le Meridian property after this!
- Rooms were cleaned very casually. rooms and washroom stayed dirty even after housekeeping visited. Towels were unclean.
- We were as Indians sidelined and not exactly treated properly as if we were only there to consume complimentary services and food while all the complimentary stuff was paid for. While on the other hand, nationalities were treated differently. This could be noted from the staffs behaviour.
- Checkin time was 2 pm but our rooms were given to us around 3.30 pm.
- In room dining was chargeable.
- no provision of free airport transfers.
- very old property with old washrooms faucets with the exuberant price they charge.
- Air conditioning does not work. fan was in one corner of the room.
- I need my 20 % refund!

A truly special break
Absolutely stunning 10 days at Le Meridian Nirvana. A small hotel within a big hotel. The rooms are magnificent with all the amenities. 50m to a perfect beach. Very spacious and well appointed. The Jade restaurant was superb for breakfasts and dinners (booking required). Muneeshki, Babboo and Dave's were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. All restaurants and service were of top quality. Sevani made sure our room was pristine. Kesevern coordinated everything brilliantly. The location is out of this world. Beautiful kilometer of beach, palm trees, umbrellas and cocktails. All round the atmosphere was authentic, the service Brilliant and value for money worth every sent 10/10

A slice of paradise

We have just returned from the Le Meridien stopping in a plunge pool room in the Nirvana section. From the moment we entered the hotel we were treated by professional, passionate staff who wanted to make the holiday as special as possible. The room we had was very spacious and led directly onto the beach. It was immaculately clean and maintained this way by a a team of cleaners including Selven, who cleaned several times throughout the day. The butler service operated by Ismail and Silesh was easily accessed and any requests were dealt with quickly and efficiently, restaurants were booked, floating breakfast sorted and always on hand to shuttle us around the resort. We spent several days relaxing on the beach and Karmella was always on hand with drinks and food all served with a smile and polite conversation. We ate in all the restaurants are favourites being Kumin and Waves, the food, settings and staff all being excellent. We cannot honestly fault anything about this hotel it really is a slice of paradise and all staff are a real credit in making guests feeling so special.
Home away from home in Mauritius
We knew the hotel and location from our honeymoon twenty fuve years ago (it was a different brand then) so we decided to come back with our adult daughters to celebrate our Silver Anniversary and the experience couldn’t have been better: wonderful rooms, amazing staff, delicious food both at the buffet and at the three thematic restaurants (Indian, Asian and Mediterranean). All the people at the Meridien made us feel valued and took care of every detail to give us a family holiday and a celebration to remember.
