Had a wonderful experience at the spa! Everything was relaxing and amazing, and the service was excellent. A special thank you to Banshi and Tushar for their warm welcome, kindness, and great care. They made the experience even more special. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some pampering

The most amazing place we've ever been too!!!
My wife and I have literally just returned from 12 nights at Longbeach hotel as part of a birthday present to ourselves for our big birthdays this year. We booked via Virgin, flew with Air Mauritius and can confirm that the 12 hour flight was worth it! The hotel is fantastic, catering for all and everyone, couples (like us), families of all ages and bigger groups. The layout out of the hotel is sympathetic and well set out around the different restaurants and main bar/entertainment area, as well as the 2 pools and beach making it feel like a community, not just a hotel. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we could not fault a single thing about the place, the food and most importantly the people and how we were looked after. From Manuella who checked us in and helped with all sorts of questions we had about anything, Beatrice who (patiently!) helped with our restaurant bookings (and changes!) throughout our stay to Ben who introduced us to Caramel Rum!! All of the staff were welcoming and worked so hard to make our stay so memorable.
We would especially like to thank Reshan and Pretesh who looked after us during (my Surprise!) birthday meal that my wife booked for me, they were brilliant, attentive and considerate. Cynthia and Kishan who looked after us around the pool (memorising what drinks we liked, without us having to ask!), to Mukul, Elvis and Singh, as well as all the other restaurant and catering staff who were just brilliant. Finally Mohit and Eysha who we enjoyed talking to on our last day and wished us well. The food across all the restaurants was of an excellent standard, so much so we ate in Tides and Chopsticks twice in the evenings and Tides for lunch several times!!, and the pool side snacks were also just as good.
If you do go, you MUST try at least one treatment at the GLOW Spa, the staff were so professional and reassuring, we had a joint full body massage, and we felt like new people afterwards!!!
Whilst it will be for you to decide what time of year to go, we found Oct to be just right, warm without being uncomfortably hot as this is the lead in time to their summer, the showers were infrequent but actually refreshing at times and did not last long. Mauritius is a beautiful island with a complex and interesting history (if you're into that side of things, as i am), but the warmth of its people is just as strong as that of its weather!. We are already planning on the "when", not if we return here, hopefully with the rest of the family. Thankyou Longbeach and everyone there, you were just perfect.

Great first day of 10, day 2 is slipping fast.
The first day of our 10 day break was great, unfortunately day 2 is not so great. It took us 35 mins to order lunch, the order came out wrong then took another 25 mins to clear the the table, looks like the local birds get a better service at the moment. The pool bar is the same this afternoon, you have to clear your own table if you fancy a drink, then order and the drinks dont arrive or come out poorly made. Hopefully the rest of the break improves. Not a 5 star place.
