Stunning people on a beautiful island 🏝️
Another amazing holiday at this beautiful island 🏝️ Beautiful caring people, scrumptious food, 5* lovely rustic lagoon water villas where there’s a constant stream of amazing stingrays, sharks & fish seen even from the villa deck. Can’t get enough of this place, explains why there’s such a high number of repeated guests, who are just made to feel so special.♥️

An Unforgettable Anniversary Stay at Gili Lankanfushi!!!
We had such a wonderful stay at Gili Lankanfushi, and it was truly a memorable experience from beginning to end.
The island itself is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in a Lagoon Villa, and the views over the lagoon were simply stunning. What made it even more special was the amazing marine life around the island. Waking up in the morning and watching little reef sharks swimming around right outside our villa was such a lovely experience. The food was another highlight of our stay. Everything we tried was delicious, whether we were dining at the restaurants or enjoying in-villa dining. The quality was consistently excellent throughout our stay. And a special mention goes to the cheeseburger and fries from the in-villa dining menu — an absolute must-try! They were surprisingly good and definitely one of our favorites!
But what really makes Gili special is its people. Every single staff member we encountered was genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive. What amazed us most was how everyone remember our names, making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. A special mention to Rohan, who hosted my very first wine tasting and made it such an enjoyable experience. He was incredibly sweet, shared so much interesting knowledge about wine, and even encouraged me to explore more wine tastings in the future to build a deeper understanding of it. And Sharee, who surprised us with a beautiful anniversary dinner setup — it was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch! That's the magic of Gili — just when you think your stay couldn't get any better, another lovely surprise comes along. There were also so many wonderful staff members whose names we unfortunately can't remember, but every single one of them made our stay special in their own way.
A very special thank you to our Ms. Friday, Shanny! Shanny truly went above and beyond to make our anniversary trip unforgettable. Knowing that we were celebrating a special occasion, she thoughtfully arranged some wonderful surprises for us! We also really appreciated how attentive, reliable, and responsive she was throughout our stay. We arrived on the island very late at night, and she stayed up to personally welcome us and make sure everything was taken care of. Whenever we needed anything, she was always quick to respond and happy to help. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and dedication made such a difference to our experience.
This was our second trip to the Maldives, but our first time at Gili Lankanfushi, and it certainly won't be our last if we have the chance. We left with so many beautiful memories and a genuine wish to return someday.
Three nights at Gili...
We spent three nights at Gili Lankanfushi and it was one of the most memorable stays we have had. The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious and very comfortable, with a real sense of privacy and calm. The island itself is stunning: lush, peaceful and surrounded by incredible water. It is the kind of place that makes you slow down the moment you arrive. What truly made the stay, though, was the team. Rodrigo, the General Manager, and Florian, the Operations Manager, set the tone with genuine warmth and personal attention. Chef Hari and his team, together with Shawwaf, the F&B Manager, looked after us beautifully throughout. A special thank you to Miffy, our Mr Friday, who made sure every detail was taken care of before we even had to ask. Our thanks also go to Gayan, Charito, Mónica, Ibrahim, Ali and Matthew, and to the rest of the team we have not mentioned by name, for all their hard work behind the scenes. Every one of them went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for at all times. Service like this only happens when people truly love what they do, and it showed in every interaction. Thank you all for an incredible experience. We are already talking about coming back.

A Beautiful Island, Wonderful People, and Unforgettable Memories
We had a truly wonderful family holiday at Gili Lankanfushi.
The island is absolutely beautiful, with crystal-clear water, stunning ocean views, and such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The villas are lovely, the food is excellent, and everything feels natural, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged.
What makes Gili truly special, though, is its people. The service is exceptional, but more importantly, it feels genuine and personal. We never had to worry about the children, and everyone made us feel so welcome and cared for.
One experience I especially want to mention is a pumpkin risotto I ordered. The first evening, I mentioned that the rice was a little undercooked for my taste. The following day, the chef insisted on preparing another one for me, completely complimentary. This time, it was wonderful — perfectly cooked with a lovely bite, and the gentle sweetness of the pumpkin beautifully coating every grain of rice.
But what impressed me most wasn’t the risotto itself. It was the chef’s pride in his work, his professionalism, and the respect he showed for his craft. That small gesture meant so much more to me than a complimentary dish. It’s the kind of genuine care that makes a lasting impression.
A very special thank you to Tesla, who took such wonderful care of our family throughout our stay. His kindness, thoughtfulness, and genuine warmth meant so much to us. He didn’t just make our holiday easier — he made it truly memorable. By the time we left, we felt more like family than guests. Saying goodbye was incredibly emotional, and our son was in tears from the moment we boarded the boat.
We came to Gili for its beauty, but we left with something even more precious — beautiful memories and people we will truly miss.
