Wyndham Residences Kusadasi Golf And Spa

Currently here as a family of 5, have been coming over the last few years (when it was previously wyndham) sad to say this will be our last visit. Although there are some improvements to some facilities such as the addition of the food court and Irish bar its the simple things that let it down massively! This is obviously due to poor management as the staff on site work tiresly with what little things they have. Check in is a joke, again management waving forward all locals to check in before everyone else who has been queuing a lifetime. Drink selection is extremely poor, never been to an AI resort with such little choice, beer gin and vodka if you're lucky continously running out of things, glasses being rinsed under a tap and then placed back to be used again - alot of people have now purchased their own cups and refill them for which I do not blame them! There is an issue with electricity at the hotel forever cutting out, and leaving staff frantically searching for warm bottles of drink to serve. The only pool maintained is the main pool, all others are covered in cigarette ends (floating in baby pools) and strewn dirty glasses. Local kids flying around on electric scooters who have no thought for anyone else, going through the restaurant at meal times aswell. At one point the lifeguard thought it would be funny to give my 6 year old son a little shove down a water slide causing him to flip over and bash his foot, never seen an adult man look so petrified when he realised what he'd done. The only saving grace is the entertainment team and the staff on the ground as said before - they all work extremely hard nothing is too much for them. Management are ruining a once great hotel. The queue at the jet2 rep desk is often longer than check in which is impressive!!

We are a family of 9 currently at this hotel, 4 adults, 14,9, two 5 year olds and a 1 year old child. And here is a completely honest review: I researched hotels for weeks before settling on Unique Residence, the reviews were good and the 4 star rating along with pictures seemed fab - I should have known the reasonable price was too good to be true! Check in - absolute joke, a whole coach for our hotel and 2 very rude members of staff on the desk, no water or refreshments offered at check in , and we were sent to our room which they told us they didn't know where it was?!? The bell boy was busy and we had to wait, after asking several times we managed to find our room, on arrival the cleaners were still in there and the room wasnt ready, our second room we were told still wasn't ready and this could be '2,3,4 or 5' they don't really know! So all bags taken to one room. ROOM - 2 bedroom suite - Wow, all I can say is I'm not sure what the cleaners did whilst in there, see my pictures - dirty walls, sticky floor, wardrobe doors not attached in children's room, dirty bed linen, the bathrooms were horrendous, and I didn't even unpack my clothes. I went to reception to complain and were told they were full so go back tomorrow, attempted to contact Jet2 and to be honest they were absolutely useless. We managed to get moved the following day to a duplex suite which is much better but still not a 4 star rating. Don't put your towels on the floor after a shower as rooms are cleaned every 3 days! Disgraceful!!

We have since found out that most of the complex is Turkish family owned and rented back to the hotel, meaning weekends are hellishly busy!!

COMPLEX - Turkish children on E bikes and Scooters whizzing everywhere and not safe at all for our children to walk around, SO many cars on site that some people use as a racetrack, certainly not a site you feel safe walking around as there is cars everywhere.

POOLS - filthy and not cleaned once during our stay, fag butts everywhere, if a drink is spilt this is never washed down, glass broken, grids broken and a grime across the top of the water. We stayed at the Oaks pool as the main pool was unbearable and so busy. The slides are tired and so so dirty.

FOOD - quite possibly the worst AI food I have come across, cold, repetitive and simply a school canteen.

SPA - the one saving grace was our 2 hour massage. Lovely Indonesian girls who performed this.

HAIR - don't bother getting a braid they're awful and fell out after 2 days!! Also expensive.

SHOP - super expensive and very little choice!

LOCATION - the middle of know where and a taxi is €50 return to town, unless you do the Hong Kong trip which is good as transport is free and the food is so much better.

DRINKS- awful and no choice at all, cocktails differ day by day and the glasses are always dirty. Always running out of simple things.

Overall I have no idea how this hotel is 4* and would say it is scraping a 3!!

DO NOT BOOK and if you have already I would genuinely see if you can change!!
