Enjoying most beautiful sea views and sunsets, this hotel is situated in a fantastic beachfront location on a plot of 17,000 m2 on the western coast of Turkey. The picturesque village of Alaçati with its shops and restaurants is 3 km away, the larger resort of Çeşme is at 15 km. Ilica Beach and Alaçati Marina are within 15 minutes. Izmir and the Izmir-Adnan Menderes Airport are at a distance of about 80 km and 90 km, respectively.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel itself is very worn and in need of repairs. The cost of accommodation (all-inclusive) is high and does not correspond at all to the quality of service provided by this hotel. At this price, the quality of service, food variety, room cleaning, and maintenance of the hotel's condition should be at the highest level. Upon check-in, we were asked to wait due to cleaning and preparing the room for occupancy. When we finally checked in, we found that the room had not been properly cleaned—there were stains on the tables, remnants of hair from previous guests in the bathroom, and the toilet was not clean. The faucet in the sink couldn’t be fully opened because when you lift the handle, it hits the metal rim of the mirror. Each day, we received three bottles of 0.5 liters of water. Food in the restaurant ran out quickly, and there were not enough clean dishes, so we had to search for clean plates. There were very few waitstaff in the main restaurant. Drinks like Pepsi, Sprite, water, ayran, icetea were served by just one waiter who pushed a cart with these drinks (this was a first for us). It took a long time to wait for him to reach our table with the cart, and we often had to manage on our own. Alcoholic drinks (only local alcoholic drinks are included in the price) are not offered in the main restaurant; they have to be ordered at the beach bar. There is a catastrophic lack of tables in the main restaurant, so it is necessary to arrive early to secure a table. A taxi to the center (Alaçatı costs around 1000 lira, and it’s even more to Çeşme if going by highway).
Our arrival did not begin well. We had a serious issue with the condition of the room not the kind of small “the room was a little dirty” complaint that can simply be overlooked. It genuinely made us question whether we should stay.
Buket, the Guest Relations Manager, handled the situation very professionally. She listened with real understanding, arranged for a detailed cleaning under the supervision of the housekeeping manager, and offered to let us stay for one night and cancel the rest of our reservation without charge if we were still not satisfied. That approach gave us the confidence to give the hotel a fair chance.
After that, we had a very good stay. The food was genuinely good, the waiters were consistently friendly, and the bartenders and barmaids were equally warm and attentive. More broadly, the hotel felt well run: things worked smoothly, and the staff seemed to take real pride in their work rather than simply going through the motions.
The housekeeping staff member also came back to apologise and was very attentive throughout the rest of our stay.
Was everything perfect? No. But despite the difficult first impression, we are happy that we stayed and had a genuinely enjoyable holiday. We will probably try different places in the future as well, but if we return to Alaçatı, Design Plus Seya Beach is a hotel we would feel comfortable choosing again.
This hotel is exceptional because of how nice and attentive the staff is; from the chefs and service staff in the restaurant, to the entertainment team. They went above and beyond to put together a birthday party for our kid, even with only couple hours of notice. They even made a cake just for the birthday party and made sure the day felt special.
Special thanks to the Executive Chef of this hotel, Özkan Chef, Berivan Chef, Moris, Buket Hn., İlgim Hn. and Dj. Ozzy and our housekeeping lady Esra Hn.
They also host fun workshops that are great for both adults and kids. The location is also great to explore the city. The atmosphere is relaxing and fun at the same time. Rooms are clean and spacious. There is music playing throughout the day, but was not too noisy. Overall great value, and would definitely recommend.
It was another fantastic stay at Design Plus Seya Beach Hotel. The location is unbeatable, with a pristine beach and remarkably clear, beautiful turquoise waters. The pool area is ideal for families, and the kids club kept the children entertained all day. Every meal at the main restaurant was delicious, thanks to the Chef’s remarkable attention to detail. Overall, the staff were consistently kind and attentive. A special mention goes to Aziz at the Beach Bar for his incredible signature cocktails, and to Kartal, who manages the hotel exceptionally well and is always on hand to assist. Staying at Seya Beach was a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Everything met our expectations. The staff were friendly and smiling, and the level of cleanliness was excellent. The scrub and massage were very relaxing.
