- Belcekiz Beach Club

This attractive hotel is surrounded by pretty, green gardens and situated just steps from the famous azure waters and blue-flag pebble beaches of Oludeniz. The area is well known as one of the best places in the world for paragliding, though guests might be content to simply lounge on the beach or by the expansive outdoor pool. The buffet-style restaurant offers international dishes alongside sea and mountain views from the outdoor terrace, while the snack bar and pool bar offer tasty treats and refreshing drinks throughout the day. The spacious rooms are tastefully furnished with air-conditioning and private balconies or terraces, and the resort provides a jaw-dropping list of facilities so that guests can participate in a wide array of sporting activities, including tennis, aqua aerobics, giant chess and scuba diving.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This hotel is part of TUI’s platinum range and for customer care and attention, amazing food and beach location it ticks all the boxes. We also liked the waiter service round the pool, drinks brought to the table at mealtimes, and daily room service with fresh towels and complimentary 2 litre bottles of fresh water left in the fridge every day. Sunbeds and umbrellas are included on the beach within a designated area for Belcekiz guests. We paid to use the spa and had a Hamam and it was awesome. The location is really near a great strip of bars, restaurants and shops for a wander in the evening. And I cannot fail to mention the constant stream of paragliders sailing in the sky above us and landing right next to the hotel - it was fascinating and so calming to watch. I would recommend this hotel but I will just flag up a few areas that could be improved or might help anyone make an informed decision.
This was the first time I have ever checked out of a hotel with tears of joy in my eyes. From the very first to the last minute of my stay, I was surrounded by genuine care. The staff make you feel truly important and right at home. The food was incredibly diverse and delicious. There are currently six Lithuanian ladies working there, and they were absolutely wonderful. They even organized a farewell for me that was so moving it brought me to tears.I read a comment before visiting that said, "Once you stay at this hotel, you get addicted." Well, I officially have the addiction! 😊
We have just returned from a wonderful stay and, although I almost don’t want to write this review because we’ve found such a little gem, the hotel thoroughly deserves the recognition.
First Impressions
• This is an older hotel, but it is clearly being continually renovated and very well maintained. • Everywhere was spotlessly clean. • The beautiful gardens and grounds are immaculately kept. • There are plenty of staff constantly working to ensure the hotel looks its best.
Our Room
We stayed in a Deluxe Room (240)
• It wasn’t huge, but it comfortably accommodated two adults and our 15-year-old. • The sofa bed was a good size and surprisingly comfortable. • The air conditioning was excellent (a must in the summer). • There was always plenty of hot water. • The housekeeping team were exceptionally generous: • Towels and bathroom toiletries were replaced daily if required. • Fresh pool towels were available every day too.
We also used an older room for check-out, this room was much older and really did need a new bathroom. It had a shower over the bath and felt quite different from the room we had stayed in, which only highlighted how much the hotel is continuing to improve and renovate.
Hotel Layout and Pools
The hotel is split into two sections.
• We stayed in the section overlooking the gardens by the main pool, which we found to be the perfect location with easy access to everything. • We didn’t use the adults-only pool, but we wandered over for a drink on our last day and there was still beds available at 11am. • The main pool was large and never felt overcrowded, but we did go just before main school holidays!
One thing we really appreciated was the hotel’s strict policy on reserving sunbeds.
• Towels aren’t allowed on beds before 8am, and the staff genuinely enforce it. • Yes, there was still the traditional British queue at 8am, but at 10am, there were still plenty of sunbeds available in the gardens surrounding the pool.
Another lovely touch was the drinks service.
• Around the pool, in the bars and even in the restaurant, staff regularly offered waiter service for drinks. • It made such a difference, especially when relaxing by the pool. • On several occasions staff simply appeared with trays of cold refreshments, offering guests a choice without being asked. • It really gave the impression that the hotel genuinely values the guest experience.
Beach
• The beach is lovely, although it is a pebble beach rather than sandy. • The hotel provides complimentary sunbeds, which is a great bonus. • My only suggestion for improvement would be a beach bar, as currently you either need to purchase food and drinks from nearby vendors or walk back to the hotel.
Lagoon
We also spent a day at the lagoon.
• It was expensive and, in my opinion, a little overrated. • What you have outside the hotel is probably nicer and certainly less crowded. • I suspect many people, like us, still want to go there for at least one day.
Now for the food.
• I’ll admit I’m generally not a fan of all-inclusive hotels, so my expectations weren’t particularly high. • However, I have to say this was some of the best all-inclusive food I’ve experienced. • There was an excellent variety. • Food was freshly cooked and, most importantly, always hot. • The salad selection was extensive. • The soups were delicious. • Breakfast was outstanding, with a fresh omelette station alongside plenty of other options to suit everyone. • They catered well for children
The hotel has a number of bars and cafes and a sports bar, but the real hidden gem is the beachfront bar overlooking the sea.
• It’s a beautiful spot to relax with a drink. • It is perfectly located with direct access to the promenade. • It is only a couple of minutes’ walk from the main shopping area.
The resort itself is lovely.
• It’s peaceful and relaxing. • There are still enough pubs, bars and restaurants if you fancy a walk out in the evening.
The entertainment was exactly what you’d expect from a good all-inclusive hotel.
• We didn’t really participate ourselves, but the entertainment team worked incredibly hard and there was always something going on. • A special mention goes to the female entertainment staff, who made a point of coming over each evening for a chat. They were a delight to chat too.
One thing we particularly appreciated was that everything in the hotel closes at midnight.
• After 12am the hotel became wonderfully peaceful. • This made for an undisturbed night’s sleep every evening. • It struck a perfect balance between offering entertainment for those who wanted it while ensuring guests could enjoy a quiet and restful holiday.
Finally, the hotel staff deserve enormous credit.
• There are plenty of them. • They work tirelessly. • Nothing is ever too much trouble. • Everyone is friendly, accommodating and genuinely wants guests to have the best possible holiday. • They really made us feel looked after from start to finish.
Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way.
• We’ve discovered a little gem and will definitely be returning. • If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate—you won’t be disappointed. • An excellent hotel and certainly one that’s well worth a visit.
This should have been an amazing holiday but............
A guest at the hotel, who was was clearly very very drunk, yet was consistently given more alcohol, despite an inability to stand up independently and other guests requesting that no more alcohol was provided to this guest. This guest, we later found out was on a final warning from the hotel and had already been arrested for fighting in the local area, for which he spent several days in police custody. On his release from police custody he returned to the hotel and after another day of drinking became very confrontational with myself and my Wife.
The hotel did nothing to stop this, despite numerous pleas to hotel staff and management for help. This could have resulted in a very serious incident, in which hotel guests could have been seriously hurt. This guest, was eventually arrested at reception, whilst attempting to assault the arresting police officers.
The hotel has failed in its duty of care to protect its guests. I had asked for hotel management to deal with the escalating situation on 3 separate occasions during a 50 minute period and was told "nothing we can do as this happens all the time"
Having spoken with the guest relations contact Veronika, who confirmed that she was hopeful that the police were going to retain this guest in police custody after he was first arrested. I asked the obvious question - when the guest was released and returned to the hotel - why were they allowed to remain at the hotel and continued to be served alcohol, even when they were clearly very drunk again!!!!. The answer we received was as expected " he shouldn't have been allowed to return".
There were a great many other serious issues caused by this guest, which I don't feel are relevant to share, suffice to say I seriously hope that this review serves as a call for action for the hotel. I truly hope for the safety of future guests, there is a serious review into the manner in which these situations are managed and dealt with going forwards. I have received an email with an apology from the hotel & to inform me they have now reviewed internal procedures & additional guidance has been provided for pool staff. As I received that email just a short while after my initial conversations with the hotel, excuse me for being dubious that this actually happened.
Further evidence of poor management is evident every day around the pool. At one point you will have bar staff taking your drinks order whilst you are in the pool and then serving hotel guests drinks whilst in the pool (lovely you may think) then the next day they are complaining, saying you cant drink to close to the pool. After we were told we needed to stay behind the yellow line with our drinks (which is fair enough) the next day the same member of staff, noticed two guests were drinking in the pool and approached them. Surely this was to remind them they can't drink in the pool........ NO he said you cant have glasses in the pool let me replace them with plastic glasses - which he did and then proceeded to pass the fresh drinks to the guests, yes you guessed it, whilst they were in the pool..........
Such a shame as Hotel is in a fabulous location, food was good, staff overall were very friendly but....... If you cant ensure your guests are safe especially with children around the pool, then this is not a hotel I could recommend or would wish to return to unless meaningful change takes place.
Returned for the second time absolutely fantastic hotel staff cannot do enough for you see you all next year. Big shout to AirErdem Entertainer
