Hawaii Hotel

The location of this hotel is good, it's within walking distance to the old town and harbours, the main strip is on your door step, so all good with that, the hotel itself looks OK from the outside, inside it's very tired, the decor albeit refurbed 23-24 is very cheap and nasty MDF units which are very tired and worn out, toilet seat (reported twice) is in bad need for replacement as it keeps falling off, the hot water for the showers is cold no matter what time you take a shower or try get washed. We were in room 206. The beds are horrible, I have not slept for days in these beds all the time that I have been in this room, there are no bed sheets just thin blankets, gets very cold through the night, the rooms are clean and tidy but doesn't take away the fact that the furniture is needing replaced, the food very mediocre very little choice and always Luke warm, for a 4 star it's it's more like a 2 star, this hotel is all inclusive until 23.00 then you have to pay. Both my wife and I arrived late at night (00.00) after a long day in travelling there was no food available or drinks available, albeit there are shops available very close so we managed to get a packet of crisps and some soft drinks to tide us over until breakfast. The likelihood of me coming back to this hotel is none it's not been a joyable experience in the hotel. The hotel does get good reviews hence the reason why I picked it but in reflection I base my review on my own experience and I would give this hotel a wide berth.

Staff were very good never had an empty glass. Rooms cleand every day. Always something to eat no matter how fussy you are. Right near the beach and shops.

Location is central to the beach on one side and shops on the other. Restaurants surrounding all sides of this hotel so its Location is perfect.

Bedrooms were cleaned and have what you need and had bright furniture and lovely complimentary full size hair and body products in the bathroom.

Food Plenty of choice for a smaller hotel and the coffee, teas and fruit juices were all there to help yourself.

Separate seating areas for eating meals and snacks that was very clean and comfortable. Drinks brought to your tables.

Pool Didn't use it because as with all hotel pools unless they are heated they are far too cold, and this one is deep at both end so not for anyone that isn't confident in deeper water, but the sunbeds were always available throughout the day and there's a lovely covered area for anyone who prefers the shade 😎

Outside bar area is really nice with comfy sofas and chairs and night lights ✨️

It would benefit from the carpet on the main staircase having a deep clean and some better lighting in that area but it doesn't prevent use, it was just an observation that would really improve the look of the beautiful shape of the staircase . And although not a criticism of the hotel the flies were a nuisance! There must have been unseen reasons as to why there were so many. At one stage we all went to the beach because they were on absolutely everything. Maybe some fly catching machines could be considered in time for next season 🤔 😉

Added value This hotel has a lovely spa and Hammam. The staff were really nice and the prices were great for their full packages.

Cleaners were so cheerful and took pride in their work 😊

Main hotel staff were all found to be friendly and helpful.

General stores are only a 2 minute walk if you need anything for the room.

Overall we had a good holiday because we were in a group of good company and we made the most of everything 😊
