The hotel enjoys a superb location surrounded by pine forests, overlooking the Bay of Marmaris. The resort of Icmeler is approximately 2 km away while its bigger sister, Marmaris, is 6 km away. Both are easily reached by public transport which runs from the main road in front of the hotel. Marmaris Castle and marina is some 5 km away. Rhodes is accessible by ferry in some 45 minutes. The hotel is set in large, pine tree forest grounds and has its own sandy beach and pier. The accommodation consists of a main building and villa-style blocks in the gardens. Guests have access to many wonderful amenities, including the Arcadia Spa, a 330m long private beach, sun-bathing platforms and lush gardens with opportunities to stretch out on a hammock under the trees. (Some facilities may not be open year round due to weather seasonal conditions).
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Third year in a row for us and still does not disappoint! We had a bungalow near the quiet pool which was a great location and the quiet pool was lovely late afternoon before heading back to the room!
All of the members of staff worked hard and were friendly and attentive from reception to the bars to the restaurants. Always looking after their guests!
Food was lovely as always. We enjoyed the Turkish night which was outdoors- this was something new from our previous stays. We didn’t go to à la carte this time as chose to eat out in nearby İçmeler a couple of nights instead. Icecreams and patisserie open 11-6pm. Lunches could be taken in main buffet restaurant or one of the other restaurants including Italian at the beach, food court (varied foods including fried chicken, noodles, fish & chips), doner house or steakhouse (serving burgers, wraps).
Entertainment was varied- our children are older so we did not make use of the mini disco and the shows started at 9pm so we often were still out exploring nearby the hotel after dinner. However there were later shows at the beach bar including a white party- these shows were really good and worth going along to!
We spent most days on the pier at the beach. It is worth noting that this gets busy quickly so we did have to wait wake early to be able to get a spot on the pier which we did not mind doing as we very much enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and views from the pier.
It was however frustrating to see other families like ours searching for beds in which others had reserved early but then did not actually go to until mid afternoon- I think there should be a policy that if reserved beds are not attended to by a certain time in the morning that the towels are removed to prevent this from happening! (That would be my only criticism of the hotel which I hadn’t noted in previous years)
The main pool was also a good atmosphere. Usually plenty of beds available throughout the day. Pool party on a Tuesday which was fun- and there were also other activities you could try such as aqua gym and trampolining in the pool. If you didn’t want to access these activities there was no problem.
I’m sure we will back again next year! Thanks again club turban!
We just got home today from two weeks of heavenly relaxation and lovely family time at the Grand Turban in Marmaris. Don’t think for a second that this hotel reflects the Marmaris “party” UKcentric vibe, though that option is a short walk away if it is your bag. We are a family of six in total with four teens. Where to start? I could have stayed forever. The location and setting are just out of this world, The staff are so hard-working and so many are so friendly- all reception staff were very helpful and the roller waiter and waitress at the pool are amazing- how they keep going in the heat I don’t know! Bar staff including Ozzy were so lovely, the coffee shop people also worked tirelessly and they were always very polite. The ice cream man was particularly friendly- my husband looked forward to his chat with him each day. The food is delicious, yes - it is Turkish food! The choice and freshness of salads, bread, meats- I am sitting welling up because we ate like royalty and now we have to cook again!! Based on recommendation on Tripadvisor we had the Asian à la carte twice, both times fresh and delicious and Mehdi and the other waiters there were so attentive and warm. The pool always has free beds so we did not have to set an alarm once- if you want a beach spot I think things are different, We had beds at the pool where they are very helpful to provide you with shade, then we walked down to jump off the jetty into the beautiful, clear, cool sea several times a day, as well as swimming in the pool. We had a sauna and steam room most days and there is a lovely little indoor pool if you want peace. You are basically walking around in plant and flower heaven the whole time. The hotel has cats who entertain the guests - so cute. Other guests were a real mix of nationalities - lots of families enjoying time together wherever you looked. I could go on and on about the happy atmosphere. The rooms are not excessively fancy or luxurious and the grounds are on a hill, so be aware of this if you are infirm. But the hotel is just lovely so we were never in the rooms! Thank you Grand Turban- we may well be back!
We stayed at Grand Yazici Club Turban Thermal and were very pleased with our holiday! The hotel is beautiful, cosy and well maintained, with a large and pleasant area for walks. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious and fresh dishes.
A special thank you to the staff — everyone was polite, attentive and friendly, always ready to help. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and everything was of a very high standard. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel!
Returning to Grand Yazıcı Club Turban for another stay is always a joy, and this time was no exception. The entire reception team is welcoming and efficient, and the night manager is consistently brilliant at ensuring everything runs smoothly. The hospitality of the bar, service, and guest relations staff is truly outstanding, making you feel truly valued even when you don't have issues. While the volleyball facilities are a great feature, the pitch and overall area could definitely use a bit more attention and care to elevate the experience. Additionally, it would be wonderful to see more daytime entertainment options specifically designed for teenagers between the ages of ten and fifteen, as the current offerings are heavily focused on adults. It’s still the perfect place to unwind and create wonderful holiday memories.
We have been impressed by your hotel, fantastic location, good and clear rooms, comfortable beach and nice ecology. Special thanks for the professional and hospitable staff. Deep gratitude to Mr.Murat, the security manager on whose profound advice we have chosen your hotel. In my opinion your hotel is the only good obtion to talk about in Marmaris. Hope to be back next year. Your guest relations dep desires best evoluations, especially Ms. Irina, doing her best and even more.
