Grand Yazici Club Marmaris Palace

Firstly the outlook of this hotel with the mountain backdrop over the sea was absolutely stunning. Panoramic views surrounded by trees and natural beauty, its location is perfect being close enough to Marmaris and icmeler but out of the hussle and bustle of it all.

The food was plentiful and there was always good variety. The one downside was that dependent on where you sit it is difficult to orchestrate drinks runs to the bars while dining. The staff are very hard working and keep things running like clockwork but even off peak it was hard to find clear/clean tables to sit at.

We had a bungalow room (842) which was close enough to all the areas but would be a challenge if you were limited with mobility here with multiple layers of stairs to get to bars/pool etc. This wasn’t an issue for us but would need to be considered if you have mobility issues. The room itself was nice, always clean, bathroom new and fresh, but the room itself was a little tired with some decor like paintwork and woodwork that needed a refresh.

The staff were all very attentive and helpful.

We took the boat trip from the hotel which you can book from the desk next to the pool towel hut. £18 per person and it was a wonderful trip. 10am start from the end of the Jetti- the boat has 3 levels, comfy sun beds and the lunch provided was nice for all- chicken, pasta and salad with fresh bread. (We are vegetarian so we just had the pasta and salad but ordered some chips to go with) it was all served downstairs nicely at the tables which made for a beautiful little lunch stop in a crystal clear cove. The staff on the boat were so fun and friendly. We had multiple swim stops and it was absolutely gorgeous. Couldn’t recommend this enough. It returned at 5pm. They take photos on the boat which were reasonably priced and we couldn’t say no as they were beautiful.

The pools were peaceful, clean and enjoyable. Activities were fun and lots of things to do like ping pong and pool.

We made friends with a lot of the cats which live at the hotel and are cared for really well, with regular feedings and water points for them which was nice to see.

Taxis were ordered directly from reception and arrived within a few mins as there is also a taxi rank and ATM right outside the hotel.

The whole complex felt really friendly and safe and easy to find your way around. The entertainment in the evening was fun and enjoyable for everyone.

We used the indoor pool, sauna and steam on the last day as it was a rainy day and this was lovely and warm and a nice way to spend a few hours.

Shops on site are good- lots of choice for pool items for the kids, snacks, gifts and goggles etc.

All in all it was a great choice and very good value for money! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Great hotel and good value for money. In between Marmaris and Icmeler so perfect for shopping. Very clean hotel, great rooms, nice food and drinks. Bar in the main lobby is excellent to spend time in, bar staff called Dilay goes above and beyond for you and is the best at making cocktails. Cannot fault this hotel at all.
