Jet2 need to stop advertising this as a 4Star
I have already written a review which I took down as firstly, it was a bit harsh and secondly you get a ‘pile on’ from some staff. I will say that the guest relations manager tried her best. The guy who owns the spar on the other hand was rude and unprofessional. Some thoughts in no particular order…
- Food improved during the week from poor to average.
- Room is ok but very dingy and dark.
- The drinks are poor and very basic.
- Lovely view, can’t fault it.
- The lifts have a mind of their own.
- The bar area is unwelcoming and resembles a doctor’s waiting room.
- The whole hotel needs an upgrade.
- Jet2 need to sop saying this is a 4Star. It’s barely a 3.
- Love the cats.
- The welcome’ on the first night wasn’t very welcoming. Soup? Really? Not even a welcome drink.
- We did get a ‘good will gesture’ of fruit and wine, but it needed more than that to sway my opinion I’m afraid.
- İçmeler is nice, we didn’t have any hassle.
- Turkish bath trip is decent if the weather isn’t great.
Just feel a bit gutted that it’s passed off as a 4 Star, IT’S NOT. Sorry.

Needs major improvement
As some reviews have already said this is definitely not a 4 star hotel, jet 2 need to have a serious look at how they rate this hotel. Food basic and cold very repetitive. Tables dirty and only brushed off between guests, long wait for cutlery to be replaced had to ask on a few occasions. Same with glasses at the juice machine, Hotel leaked in the stairways and restaurant when it rained you had to dodge the puddles and towels . Room damp clearly visible on the walls paper pealing off and moldy. Hotel needs major work to improve it . Most of the staff are amazing . Location is excellent . Entertainment team are good and try really hard but what was on the board wasn't what you got unfortunately.
Very poor
We arrived in the evening that was ok next morning was a bit of a surprise to see a run down hotel,should be a 3 star food was shocking so cold and bland we ate out I was sick and tired of rice and chips ,Iam not that fussy eater but come on faros your going to lose customers, would I come again no, shame because staff are great 👍 we will be going to Sea Star just along the beach where we was in May
Needs a refurb
We've just left today. Would we return to Icmeler most definitely but not back to this hotel. It needs a refurbishment and something doing about the food. I appreciate it's end of season but that doesn't account for cold food . Positives. We had a sea view room which was perfectly adequate. The beds and pillows comfy and the bathroom was OK. The staff were lovely. Very helpful and always smiling. We had an issue with the safe and a light and they were remedied immediately. Negatives The food was almost always cold and very repetitive. We ended up eating out at night which we never do. The outside bar was a pain when it rained but we lived with it. The corridors had dirty carpets, glasses not picked up and food left on the tables by the lifts. It's not a 4 star hotel and needs lots doing to get it back up to 1.

Don't go near this hotel
Well having spent 10 days at this hotel...I can not recommend it...it's dated...and would love a refurb...the food was repetitive..cold...and in my opinion very canteen like...not the standards of a 4:star..the staff had clearly checked out as it was end of their season..but for us guests spending our holiday there it was dreadful...no nice drinks to cheer us...once getting your drink the glasses were often dirty...in my opinion this is 2 star hotel....Antonia and his spa team were the shinning lights...thank goodness the spa was there....the beach needed a daily rake ...as it could have massive potential...if I was staff at this hotel I would be embarrassed to work there...
