This resort-style hotel enjoys a peaceful setting in the village of Ovacik. The hotel sits at the foot of Babadag Mountain, just 2 km away from the bustling resort of Hisaronu, where a number of shops and nightlife opportunities can be found. Guests will find themselves just 5 km away from the stunning beach at Oludeniz. Links to the public transport network can be found nearby. This hotel features beautifully-designed guest rooms, which immerse visitors in comfort and style. The hotel affords visitors a wide range of facilities and services, ensuring a truly memorable, relaxing stay. Guests can enjoy onsite entertainment, enveloped in culture.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I had an amazing stay at Sunshine Hotel and honestly enjoyed every minute of my holiday.
The rooms were always spotless, and the food was delicious every single day. I also loved the hotel's partner beach. I went there almost every day, it was free for hotel guests and such a beautiful place to relax.
A big thank you to the lovely lady making the pancakes every morning. She was always smiling and so friendly. She really made my mornings even better.
Hüseyin at the hamburger restaurant was fantastic. He was always welcoming, helpful and made sure everything was perfect.
I have metal plates in my back, so I sometimes need pain relief cream. The reception team were incredibly kind and helped me whenever I needed it. Thank you so much for your kindness.
The bar staff were all friendly, cheerful and always made the atmosphere fun.
My biggest thank you goes to the Food & Beverage Manager, Ahmet. I mentioned that I needed to buy a pair of slippers because I have metal plates in my foot, and even though it wasn't part of his job, he immediately helped me find a nearby shop. Throughout my holiday he was always happy to help with anything I needed. It's rare to meet someone who genuinely cares so much about the guests. He was honestly one of the highlights of my holiday.
If you stay at Sunshine Hotel, make sure you say hello to Ahmet. People like him make a holiday truly special.
Thank you, Sunshine Hotel, for such a wonderful holiday. I can't wait to come back. See you again soon!
The resort is not bad needs improvement all around but the staff and the entertainment team is 100% awesome they very good at there job The Sunday beach party organised by the entertainment Garfield and his team was mazing good vibes and amazing location
Economy rooms on top floor, are advertised as being available with a double or twin beds. My son and I were allocated a double room so I had to request a twin. Reception made out they would have to upgrade me as "all economy rooms are doubles" except their own website advertises that they have both options. However we were given a new economy double room on the top floor which funnily enough, has a double and a single so I assume this was a family economy. We had to wait 2 hours for that room to be ready. If you can upgrade from economy to standard I'd recommend it. I recall the price difference wasn't that much. Curtains in the economy rooms don't fit the windows so you'll wake early to very bright mornings! Nice view of Babadag and surrounding hills from the top floor. Unfortunately our air con broke (leaking water all over tiled floor and very dangerous) and I was back at reception again, to ask for fix or another room. They advised engineer would fix and when we returned to our room 6 hours later, all seemed well and air con working. But after a couple hours out of resort, we returned to a pool of water from the air con so we packed our cases and back to reception we went. Manager was called and we eventually got allocated our 3rd attempt at a room which was actually a standard room this time! All was well with that room. We were all inclusive. I'd say the menu is mainly based on Turkish style with a nod to European or British foods. Main restaurant served breakfast lunch and dinner, buffet style. Breakfast was lots of salads and cheeses, small selection of cereals, some bread for toast. Scrambled and boiled eggs ready. Omelette and fried eggs made to order. Sweey breakfast pancakes on the go all through breakfast service. Some cold meats and sometimes a sausage or 2. Plenty yoghurt etc. No pastries or similar. Lunch was a smaller version of the dinner menu. Fries, chicken nuggets and onion rings available most days. Sometimes a pasta, salad every day. Casseroles / stews. Dinner was similar. Soup, fries, chicken nuggets, onion rings. Sometimes a pasta, then there were stews and casseroles. Salads, specialties on the outside grill which were different each night. Plenty desserts and each one was tasty. During the day there's a snack bar between about 12 and 4 which served burgers (no cheese) fries, chicken nuggets, onion rings and plenty salad. Cold soft drinks also available during the time the snack bar is open. Included drinks are Pepsi sprite Fanta one beer cocktails and a couple of wines which I'd imagine suit most people. Rooms had a tiny fridge but no tea or coffee making facilities ( Economy or standard rooms) not sure about others. There's a little pancake shack beside the adult pool open most days except Fridays serving savoury pancakes either cheese or cheese and spinach. Very tasty and the best of the food in our opinion! Pool bar open from about 11am to midnight with soft drinks, local alcohols and cocktails. Coffee break 5-6pm at snack bar serves tea (😲) and little cakes to keep you going until dinner time. The hotel is in a traditional style with only 3 floors per block and there's several blocks, all with rooms facing outwards towards the hills / view which was very nice. The hotel is well maintained (ignore the air con issue) with gardeners out daily tending the gardens and looking after the plants very well, keeping everything green and lush. Maids very good and everyone friendly. All staff good. They rely on tips here so we tried to leave something at every opportunity. Entertainment on during day seemed to be darts then water polo. During our stay some of the entertainment included Turkish dancers and Karaoke. I believe there was also a trip to a foam party on a beach but we didn't do that. It's advertised as 4 star but I'd say it's a very good 3 star. Very clean. There's a taxi call button in reception that we didn't find until day 6 haha. Dolmus runs from 2 streets down, into Fethiye and Olu Deniz, £1 each approx. The hotel is in a VERY quiet area so nothing to do outside. We walked down to the centre of Hisaronu a few evenings and it's absolutely buzzing. Think Blackpool on steroids. You'll get everything you want from the ahem trainers /sandals / watches / clothes / pharmacies / nick-nacks / a gazillion restaurants, small theme park and rides. Taxi rank right in centre so easy to catch a taxi back to the hotel as it's up several very steep hills. Not really suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There's an experiences rep on site every day if you want to book boat trips / jeep safari / quad bike adventures etc, and he can take card payment. I recommend you book or call a taxi to take you down to the Blue Lagoon (Turkey's most photographed beach and definitely Instagram worthy). We went to Billy's Beach bar cafe where we paid 1000TL to get on their private beach with 2 sun loungers for the day. We also bought our lunch there. Decent menu. Fab view of the lagoon and I'll add pictures to the review. I believe if you contact them via social media first they'll arrange to collect you from your hotel for a small fee (probably cheaper than a taxi). I'd also recommend a visit to Babadag cable car / chair lift. Stunning views. Can probably get the Dolmus (£1 each) but we opted for a taxi. We did the quad safari through forest which had stunning views. About £35 each (over 16's) and well worth the money as you're riding about 1.5hrs in total. Do it in the morning though and remember the sunscreen. Take a towel too! Fethiye and surrounding area where this hotel is located is a stunning part of Turkiye with plenty of Instagram-worthy vistas.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The food was delicious with a great variety every day. The animation and entertainment team was amazing, keeping everyone engaged and making every evening enjoyable. The welcome at check-in was very warm and friendly, and the staff made us feel comfortable from the very beginning. Thank you to the whole team for a fantastic holiday. We would definitely love to come back!
Before then we came here we had 18 hours delayed airplane when we arrive here we was really tired but reception fixed to our room really quick , food was good at the hotel , rooms cleaning everyday and Garfield was the best for entertain people !! We will definitely comeback!!
