Sahra Su Holiday Village and Spa

Recently stayed at this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make the holiday, especially the waiting staff who absolutely loved seeing our daughter every time we went for food. The food wasn't the best but definitely wasn't the worst we've had at other all inclusives. You will find something to eat. The cleaner was brilliant and always made sure our room was tidy especially with 2 small babies she had a lot of work to do. Unfortunately I wouldn't say this hotel is good for small children as the mini club wasn't the best. The swing in the park was broken, hardly any toys for the children to play with and unfortunately the girl who was running the club would rather be on her phone than actually entertaining the children. Yes most of the time it was just my daughter in there but at one time she told my daughter hang on I'll be back in a minute then proceeded to answer her phone and disappear. She still didn't return after half an hour while my husband played with our daughter and this wasn't a one time thing. Don't get me wrong when she was there she was attentive, but it seemed as if she jumped on any excuse to leave and didn't keep on with the advertised tasks either. Face painting was non existent, nor was the supposed dance party. And to make it worse it was closed and locked tight in the middle of the day when many kids mine included were most active.

The staff at this hotel are generally excellent and likely the main reason people return; the management, on the other hand, not so much.

We were shown to our room through a standard PVC door and along some patched-up carpet in the corridor (room 306—avoid this room and the others on the ground floor in this block). Upon entering, the room was dated but clean. However, the bed throw had cigarette burns, and the spare single bed had what looked like blood stains on it.

We booked a double room but had clearly been given a twin room pushed together, evidenced by the light switches and plug sockets positioned right behind one of our pillows (which made it very easy to accidentally switch the light on).

These issues were minor in comparison to the constant noise: the banging PVC door, people walking past, kids running, and loud conversations right outside.

We spoke to reception and the guest relations manager the following day and were flatly told the hotel was completely full and they couldn't move us. Halfway through our stay (Saturday), a large group of new guests arrived late in the evening, which made it obvious that room turnover was happening and they simply couldn't be bothered to accommodate us.

The food was generally pretty good compared to most other all-inclusive hotels. There were quite a few stray cats wandering around, which became a bit annoying during meal times.

Location-wise, it is a decent walk into Hisarönü town—about 30 minutes at a brisk pace.

Management: please restrict access so that guests not staying in those rooms (304–307 I think) cannot use that corridor as a shortcut, and please install a proper, sound-dampening door.
