Montana Pine Resort

This is my 4th visit to the montana pine. My first visit was in 1993 when it had just opened and the location is no less magical now. The rooms are reasonably sized, a lot bigger than some hotels, and obviously well maintained over the years as they are exactly as they first were 33 years ago. The highlight for me is the walk through the wildlife area which I would do daily. Wild tortoises, beautiful birds and a stunning view. I cant really fault the food. You can't please everyone and some people expect too much to be honest. There were 6 or 7 types of bread at breakfast, fruit, cereals, yogurts. Beans (obviously for the Brits), fried eggs, boiled eggs, potatoes of some variety and pancakes. They also had turkish pastries and honeycomb which is a nice touch. Lunch and dinner had perhaps 1 less meat option than last year but still meat or fish, plenty of accompanying side dishes, full salad bar Inc cheeses and deli meats, soup and a good selection of desserts and fruit. Drinks were self service for soft drinks which I prefer as I don't like to wait. We don't go up to the entertainment as we prefer the bottom bar and to chat so can't comment. It does stop at a reasonable time for sleeping though. We did notice some cut backs as I'm sure others did. Not too bothersome to me but I'm sure the hotel could benefit from feedback and decide which changes work and which don't. The water bottles have been replaced by water coolers. Still do the job but not as convenient to take to your lounger or up to the sunset bar. As not all the bars are open during the main part of the day I think if feasible these would be beneficial to bring back at least in certain areas. Our soap and shampoo was empty on arrival and departure. We brought our own but needs emphasising to cleaners to check them. We ate In the main dining room on the terrace a few times at lunch and it's worth noting the cutlery on the table becomes too hot to pick up. Maybe wrap them in napkins or have them available to pick up inside? I did notice as the upper bar isn't open at lunch there was nobody to clear away dirty glasses etc and some guests were taking advantage of the lack of staffing to take drinks into the pool. They should obviously know better as they could be spilled into the pool ruining it for all. Overall a great holiday and such a beautiful location.

Montana pine Resort is the nicest spot in the area. A wonderfully relaxed vacation where the hotel does not use loud entertainment. The staff is friendly, generally speaks good English, and if not, is willing to work on it. (how is your skill in the Turkish language?) It is the ideal place to enjoy nature without mandatory noise pollution.

However, to my regret, I read several negative comments on Facebook and through this site. As a returning guest, it affects me that there are people who want to express their discomfort through a medium like this. I therefore recommend expressing complaints and dissatisfaction in a feedback conversation with management. They can address a situation on the spot. cleaning of rooms and the surroundings, as well as providing good food and drinks, has always been one of the main priorities of Montana Pine Resort.

I personally think the price of this accommodation is more than worth it. During my stay at the end of May this year, I happily booked my next stay for October.

I'm already looking forward to it.

Third visit – sadly our last

This was our third stay at Montana Pine, and unfortunately it will be our last. We first fell in love with this hotel because it felt like a hidden gem. It was peaceful, beautifully maintained, with friendly, attentive staff who genuinely made you feel welcome. The food was also one of the highlights, with plenty of choice and cooking stations preparing fresh omelettes and other dishes.

Sadly, our latest visit was a huge disappointment. The food has noticeably declined in both quality and variety. Many meals were bland and felt very budget-conscious compared with previous years. The cooking stations that added something special have disappeared, and there was very little to get excited about.

The atmosphere has also changed. Instead of the tranquil, relaxing environment we remembered, the hotel now feels overcrowded, with many guests making the most of the all-inclusive drinks throughout the day. It no longer has the peaceful charm that made us return.

The staff also seemed very different. Most no longer smile or greet guests, and the reception team came across as unfriendly and, at times, bordering on rude. Good customer service used to be one of Montana Pine's greatest strengths, but sadly that no longer seems to be the case.

Entertainment has also been reduced. There used to be at least six enthusiastic entertainment staff creating a great atmosphere, but this year there were only two. In addition, the advertised à la carte restaurant was unavailable, and the popular hotel boat trips no longer operate, which was another disappointment.

It saddens me to write this review because we have so many wonderful memories of Montana Pine. We kept returning because it offered something truly special. Sadly, that magic has been lost.
