Dobry pobyt, fajny hotel, duzy basen efe sinem i swetlana
Friendly staff. Efe is kind and helpful. I had a good time here
Amazing place, great location, great people, Starbucks inside hotel, great food, nice parties every night and animations. If you prefer peaceful atmosphere then it’s not for you but if you like to party, metting new people and enjoy great drinks then I can recommend it.
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The location is great, with bars and shops nearby, making it easy to get out and explore. Having a beach attached to the hotel was a real bonus, making it easy to relax by the sea.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, especially Efe, who really stood out with his kindness and love for animals. 🐾❤️ It was lovely to see such a caring and animal-loving hotel.
Overall, a great location, friendly staff and a lovely beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing stay with everything close by!
The following review if from the trip my wife and I made to the Barcelo Bavaro Beach (Adults Only) dating Friday, October 10, 2026 through Monday, October 19, 2026. We work hard and go on a vacation once a year to chill. This was the perfect place. If we wanted to party, then you could take the hotel tram or walk over to the Palace which was on the other side of the resort.
The Palace (Family Side) Getting to the Palace was easy, just a 5 minute walk. We read about how far it was. The people who made comments like that must be very lazy or have to use crutches. The hotel has a tram that runs every 20 minutes. Heck we could walk to the Palace is only 5 minutes at a slow pace. The Palace has everything there for entertainment. It's busy a a party place. Plus, there are kids too. You have the shopping and a nice gym to work out, lots of games and entertainment. People made comments about the selection of food being better there. It is, but only slightly. We checked out one of the buffets and found it was only slightly better than the Adult side. We had no desire to visit the palace again except to visit the gym a few times. Thus, we can't give you a completer review on the Palace at The Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort.
Internet The internet if very good here. We had to do a little work from our room even though we're on vacation. Had no problems, the internet speed was very good. The internet out on the beach was good too, had no problems out there. Much better than most hotels.
Service We read a lot of review about how the employees were rude, didn't ansower questions, were lazy, or didn't perform their jobs. Well, we must have visited a different resort. Everyone was friendly and smiling. They were always there to help in any way they could. Some didn't speak perfect English, but that is expected in a different country. The people that complained and gave the resort low ratings sounded like they expected the type of service you'd get at a $2,000 per night resort. Fake smiles and all. The help here were genuinely nice and helpful. We still can't figure out what the problems were and were were here for 9 days. Go figure.
Rooms My wife and I requested a room on the 3rd floor and the front desk gave it to us. The AC worked and kept the room cool as long as the curtains were closed keeping out the sun. The room is not new and fancy. It's older, but was in very good shape and clean. The room had all of the basics. There was a mini-fridge which they stocked with sodas, beer, and water. There was a color TV, a nice desk for working, and a separate table to sit at, coffee maker, robes, safe, phone, small dresser, hair dryer, and toiletries. The bathroom was clean and the toilet had a power flush, never had to worry about clogging. The bathtub was set fairly high off the floor so you almost had to climb in and out. If you have problems with moving around, you might request a room with a shower or low bathtub. Water was always hot and the cleaning staff was great. If you needed anything, just ask and they'd get it to you. Everyone was very nice.
Beach The beach was huge! There were a lot of palm trees and you never had to fight for chairs on the beach. There were always chairs. Seaweed was a daily occurrence, but this is not hotels fault, it's just Mother Nature. They cleaned the beach of seaweed every morning only to have it slowly return during the day. It's not bad and you can easily access the ocean or walk on the beach in either direction. It was hot here, but the constant blowing of the wind made it very comfortable. There was a strong wind every day we were here, it was very nice to help keeping you cool. On the Adult side there were no activities on the beach. Again, we were here to relax, so that was fantastic.
Pool We're beach people, so we didn't spend any time at the pool. But, just like the beach, there were always chairs available. Once in awhile they played music. I did see where it was mentioned in previous reviews that there was not a swim up bar. There is not. But we saw groups of people in the pool getting drinks delivered to them while THEY WERE IN THE POOL. Now, that is service! It's now Saturday afternoon and I'm having to amend this about the pool. My wife and I are on the other side of the pool and they started playing HORRIBLE music very loud! Many people got up and left. I had earbuds and couldn't hear my own music. There were people in the pool dancing to the music, they were old and fat. Guess that was their exercise for the year. Hope this doesn't happen tomorrow (Sunday).
Buffet - Food My wife and I are bums. We like to get our own food and in the amounts that we want. Thus, we only eat at the buffets. The food is very good. There are items we didn't care for and lots of other items we really wanted. The selection changed every day. They had fresh made juices for breakfast. Not canned, not frozen, and not a mix. Some you'd have to take to the table and sweeten to your taste. One day they had beet juice, another day it was green juice (celery), and other days something else. They always had fresh squeezed orange juice. There is a grill where you can request various orders to be made while you wait. One note on their soft-serve ice cream, It's soft, too soft. I'd think their soft-server would make a better thick shake. Their ice cream is also very soft. It's hit and miss if you make back to the table with a good scoop of ice cream. Lots of choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you just try a little of this and a little of that, you almost need a wheelchair to get out because you'd be so full.
